In\u200b fact, Wilson\u2019s opening remarks were so scathing\u2062 that Dillahunty walked out after\u200b them.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cHe thinks\u200c it\u2019s funny to kind of cosmically \u2062f*** with \u2062people,\u201d Wilson sarcastically\u200b remarked.\u2062 \u201cThat\u2019s his deal. That\u2019s kind of \u200bhis whole\u200b thing. That\u2019s Matt\u2019s worldview. So \u200bnow, \u200bMatt\u2019s right.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd the question becomes, should we let them to continue to believe in\u2063 this \u200dnonsensical Stone Age madness, or\u2062 do we stop them from\u2062 engaging in \u200cit?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He\u200d argued, much to Dillahunty\u2019s displeasure,\u200c that\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/equality-act-poses-dangers-to-americans-of-faith-sen-lankford-warns\/\" title=\"Equality Act Poses Dangers To Americans Of Faith, Sen. Lankford Warns\">secular humanism<\/a>\u2064 hath wrought\u200c many of the disasters of modern life and that \u201ceven if\u2062 God isn\u2019t real at all, that\u2064 people acting as though\u2064 he is is still superior to\u2064 whatever\u2063 nonsensical egalitarian worldview Matt can come up with.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Which worldview leads to better outcomes for humanity?<\/h3>\n<p>Because, after \u200ball, if this \u2063is about social science \u2014 which,\u200b by its very \u2062nature, cannot tell us whether\u200d or not \u200bGod exists, the same way The\u2062 Science\u2062 cannot, \u200ceither \u2014 it comes down to a question of outcomes, Wilson said.<\/p>\n<p>As he noted, \u201chuman\u200c flourishing\u201d was \u201cthe cornerstone of Matt\u2019s ideology \u2014 and that\u200d of secular humanism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And where has this \u201chuman flourishing\u201d gotten us? Well, we now have to pretend, generally in the more godless parts of the civilized world, that men can be \u200cwomen: Going\u200b from Dillahunty\u2019s perspective, Wilson noted, we must say men can get\u2064 pregnant and have\u2064 periods, too.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe question posed to the Western nation is:\u200d \u2018Can a\u2063 man be a \u2064woman?\u2019 Right?\u201d Wilson said. \u201cTo the question of if a man can be a woman, they\u200b say the answer is yes, and the way we will decree they\u2062 can be\u200b a woman is by saying \u2064that \u2018woman\u2019 now means \u2018male.\u2019 Problem solved. Thank you, secular humanist!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This was pretty noncontroversial \u2062stuff from the Christian perspective \u2014 so, to Wilson\u2019s credit, he moved onto a much more universally accepted \u2064tenet of secular\u200b humanism: \u201cthat preserving homosexuality in society is good for human\u200b flourishing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even \u2062though\u2062 \u201cWestern nations can\u2019t even\u200c reproduce their\u200d own populations, but instead have to replace their population with foreigners from those theist nations that can reproduce,\u201d \u2064we\u2062 promote all\u2062 kinds of \u201creproductive dead ends\u201d \u2014 including homosexuality \u2014 as positive social goods.<\/p>\n<p>And when it comes to\u200c human sexuality, while \u200c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-dylan-mulvaney-and-the-collapse-of-the-west\/\" title=\"Joe Biden, Dylan Mulvaney, And The Collapse Of The West\">secular humanists<\/a> aren\u2019t necessarily for the result \u200dof the act, they certainly say\u2063 they\u2019re for the\u2063 act itself in all forms\u200d \u2014 including,\u200c Wilson said, Dillahunty arguing\u200c that he wouldn\u2019t make it a crime \u2064for 9-year-olds to have sex \u2063with each \u200cother.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cNow, I know this is going\u2064 to sound a little bit totalitarian, \u2064but I would in fact create laws that made\u2064 it a crime for\u2063 a 9-year-old to have sex with a 9-year-old,\u201d\u2064 Wilson said. \u200b\u201cI would \u2062hold the parents criminally liable for allowing this to\u2064 happen in my evil authoritarian society, where I don\u2019t even \u200dlet 9-year-olds have sex or the parents go straight to jail\u200c for \u200bnegligence.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But the opposite, \u200dof course, is what \u200bwe\u2019re supposed to believe\u200c is \u200d\u201chuman flourishing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s\u2063 worth \u2064noting, as Wilson did, that \u201csecular humanism can\u2064 basically mean whatever the hell you want it to mean \u2026 it\u2019s sloganeering. They\u2019re slogans that don\u2019t mean anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those slogans, however, \u2063lead to very dark places. \u200cThat\u2019s why Wilson\u2062 said, granting\u2064 the nonexistence of \u200cGod for\u2063 hypothetical\u2019s sake, his position was this: First, he wasn\u2019t convinced secular humanism \u2063led to human flourishing;\u2064 second, he\u200c needed\u2062 convincing that it did; and third \u2014 if no\u2063 convincing\u200d evidence for human flourishing\u200d existing \u2014 he planned \u201cto still demonstrate just \u2062how stupid this ideology actually \u200bis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dillahunty wasn\u2019t willing to let\u2062 him get that far, however; the internet-famous debate personality \u200dseemed incensed that he was, like, being \u200bdragged into a \u2064debate where\u200c he was\u200b forced to \u2064defend his ideology, not attack \u200dsomeone\u200c else\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo\u200c I\u2019m not going to sit here\u200d and dignify what was supposed to be a debate about Christianity \u200dvs.\u2062 secular\u2064 humanism, which one\u2019s better \u2063for the world, with someone who clearly showed up with an agenda that has nothing\u200b to do with that,\u201d Dillahunty said.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson, Dillahunty told the audience, \u201crefers\u200c to trans people as deranged\u200b lunatics who will\u200c self-terminate\u201d and misrepresented his position on 9-year-olds having\u200b sex based on a quote \u200cfrom a\u200c prior debate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI came in\u2062 with the secular humanist manifesto. I came\u2064 in with positions that aren\u2019t merely my positions,\u201d Dillahunty said, amid some back-and-forth. \u200d\u201cThis guy\u2019s not \u2062serious, and I\u2019m leaving.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This was supposed to be an hour, and the atheist couldn\u2019t even last 20 minutes.\u200c Ouch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em><strong>WARNING:\u200b The following video\u200c contains\u200d vulgar language that some viewers\u2062 may\u2063 find offensive.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<p>What Dillahunty doesn\u2019t seem to understand is\u2064 that\u200d this \u201cagenda\u201d\u2064 was part \u200dof the \u2064\u201cethical foundation\u201d of Christianity.<\/p>\n<p>What the modern, \u200dpost-Dawkins\/Hitchens atheist loves to do is run a hit job on Judeo-Christianity and theism by taking verses \u2062out of context and then blowing\u2063 them up to make\u200b \u201csky daddy\u201d \u200cseem like a cross between \u200cHannibal Lecter and Calvin Candie.<\/p>\n<p>The onus of proof therefore falls on \u2062the\u200b Christian \u200dto explain the wider context of those quotes pulled out of the Bible in as\u200d much time as \u200dit took the \u2064atheist to read it.<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, hermeneutics takes quite a bit\u2062 longer than that \u2014\u2064 and, by default, atheism wins the debate even if\u200d what\u2064 the atheist is spouting is illogical,\u200b deceptive and stupid.<\/p>\n<p>And, along the \u200cway, \u200dthe atheist \u2014 or \u201csecular humanist,\u201d whatever you wish\u200b to call it \u2014\u2064 doesn\u2019t have to \u200cprovide a framework of his or her own.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson managed to turn the tables: If this is about an\u200c \u201cethical \u2064foundation,\u201d let\u2019s see where the ethical foundation of secular humanism \u2014\u2064 clearly ascendent\u200d in\u2062 the West since\u2064 the 20th\u200d century \u2014 has gotten us \u200bwhen\u2063 it \u200ccomes to human flourishing compared with a Judeo-Christian framework based on biblical principles. Hit with this, Dillahunty smeared his opponent as an agenda-pusher and walked out.<\/p>\n<p>Now, there are questions about whether \u200cthese kinds of aggressive \u2064debate tactics benefit Christians in the end. The \u200bCounsel of Trent podcast, a production of the religious outlet \u200cCatholic Answers,\u200b has an excellent summation of what Christians can learn from the debate \u2063adopting \u2062these kinds of rhetorical methods and what the pitfalls can\u200d be, \u2062if you\u2062 have 22 minutes to spare:<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<p>However, no matter whether this is a positive apologetics strategy for Christians in winning the theological-cultural \u200dwar with atheists, it\u2019s\u200c instructive\u200b to see it \u2064at least once.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Chronicles of Narnia\u201d\u200d and\u200c \u201cMere \u200cChristianity\u201d author \u2063C.S. Lewis put it a bit more gently when he\u2064 wrote, \u201cOnce people \u2064stop believing in \u200dGod, the problem\u200d is not that they \u2064will believe in nothing; rather, the problem\u2062 is that \u2062they will \u2064believe anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leaving aside the evidence for the existence \u200dof \u2064God\u200b for a second \u2014 and there\u2019s\u200d certainly a heap of that, but rehashing it doesn\u2019t get anyone anywhere \u200dif a person isn\u2019t willing to listen to it \u2014 \u200dlet\u2019s \u200dlook at secular humanism\u2019s implied claim that Judeo-Christianity\u200c is barbaric and that secular humanism\u200c holds the key to \u200can enlightened humanity where\u200d we \u2064all dance around the maypole celebrating nontheistic togetherness and directionless evolution.<\/p>\n<p>Except \u200dwe don\u2019t. Wilson merely scratched the surface.\u2063 Late-term abortion, drug use, mass murder, dictatorship based on the cult of personality, existential meaningless and \u200ddespair:\u200c This is the modern condition, brought to you courtesy of secular humanism.<\/p>\n<p>It cannot simply adopt the oppositional\u2062 position and attack Christianity,\u200c especially not in the West. It \u200bshows that simply tearing down <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/conservative-beauty-guru-to-launch-make-makeup-great-again-line\/\" title=\"Conservative Beauty Guru To Launch \u2018Make Makeup Great Again\u2019 Line\">religious beliefs<\/a> is not enough. \u2064Atheists \u2062must also present a compelling alternative worldview that can\u200c stand \u200cup to scrutiny and provide a \u200dbasis for morality and meaning.<\/p>\n<p>While many atheists argue that secular humanism can provide this alternative, Wilson\u2019s scathing critique suggests otherwise. He points out that secular humanism has led to societal disasters such as the denial of biological realities, the \u200ddecline of population growth, and the \u200cerosion of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-pence-i-know-roe-v-wade-will-be-overturned-either-in-mississippi-case-or-future-one\/\" title=\"Exclusive \u2014 Pence: \u2018I Know\u2019 Roe V.
