It&#8217;s an interesting strategy offering\u200c WPATH attendees \u2064to come\u2063 to Genspect&#8217;s sessions for\u2063 free whereby they can\u2062 engage with a \u200cdifferent perspective, as well as \u200cputting WPATH on notice that there is\u200d a growing movement of those who want \u2062to offer a &#8220;healthy approach to sex and \u2062gender.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I was unable\u200c to attend their gathering last year in Ireland,\u200b but when O&#8217;Malley invited me to speak at the Denver conference, I was happy to accept. The speaker&#8217;s list \u200cwas a who&#8217;s who of those fighting gender ideology, some for many years.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On the Front Lines of the Gender Wars<\/h2>\n<p>Michael Shellenberger opened the conference with a bold claim that time\u200d is up for\u2064 WPATH and that soon he would release his &#8220;WPATH files&#8221; on his <a href=\"https:\/\/public.substack.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Substack<\/a>, where he will show the receipts he has on the\u200b pseudoscientific\u2062 standards\u2064 of care and practices of WPATH.\u2064 Amid robust applauses,\u2064 attendees were encouraged to post on X using\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Transgendertrd\/status\/1720838097569505501\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">#TimesUpWPATH<\/a>. A lifelong member of the Democrat Party, he lamented how\u2063 far the left \u2064has fallen from the principles that drew him to \u200cthat party.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights for me \u200cwere hearing from \u200dthe brilliant <a href=\"https:\/\/manhattan.institute\/person\/leor-sapir\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leor Sapir<\/a> on &#8220;Institutional Capture (How \u2064gender ideology has been\u200c embedded within America).&#8221;\u200b Sapir\u2063 chronicled Obama&#8217;s 2010 anti-bullying initiative, which was at first sex-based directed, and then expanded\u2064 in 2011 to include gender language in the antibullying initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Following this was the 2015 <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.ed.gov\/about\/offices\/list\/ocr\/letters\/20150107-title-ix-prince-letter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">letter<\/a> \u2063 from James Ferg Cadima in the Office of Civil Rights, stating, &#8220;The Department&#8217;s Title IX regulations permit schools to provide sex-segregated restrooms, locker rooms,\u2063 shower facilities, housing, athletic teams, and single-sex classes under certain circumstances. When a school elects to separate or treat \u2062students differently on the\u200c basis of\u200c sex in those situations, a\u200b school \u2063generally must treat transgender students \u200bconsistent with their gender identity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stories of Destransitioning and Whistleblowers<\/h2>\n<p>Any \u200cconference like\u2062 the one\u2063 hosted by Genspect naturally\u200d needs \u2064to include the voices\u2064 of those most harmed by &#8220;gender affirmation therapy,&#8221; those who transitioned and have\u2062 now detransitioned\u2062 once they realized \u2064their decision to transition didn&#8217;t fix any of their mental health issues, and \u2062as is often \u2063the\u2062 case, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-covid-19-flip-flops-a-timeline\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s COVID-19 Flip-Flops: A Timeline\">made things worse<\/a>.\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chloe_Cole\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chloe\u200c Cole<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iwf.org\/identity-crisis-prisha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prisha\u2063 Mosley<\/a> both\u2062 spoke about\u200c their \u200bdeeply personal experiences. Many other detransitioners attended the conference as well. It was\u2064 wonderful to see how their tragic stories have\u2062 brought them together in the spirit of camaraderie.<\/p>\n<p>And\u2064 who doesn&#8217;t love a good \u2064whistleblower story like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefp.com\/p\/i-thought-i-was-saving-trans-kids\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jamie \u2064Reed<\/a>? Reed blew up the internet back in February \u200dwith her expose, &#8220;I thought I was\u2063 Saving Trans Kids. Now\u2062 I&#8217;m Blowing the Whistle.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Since \u20632018, Reed served as\u200d a case\u200b manager at Washington University, in \u200btheir Transgender Center at St. Louis\u200b Children&#8217;s Hospital, until she came\u2064 to the realization that she could no longer condone the treatment \u2063children\u200d were receiving. Her \u200dremarks at Genspect were \u200ba rallying\u200c cry for the political left to wake up \u2062and stop \u200dharming children. As a lifelong leftist,\u200d she implored the audience not to\u2064 give up \u2062on the left, \u2064but to help them return \u200cto principles.<\/p>\n<p>The title of my \u2062own talk \u2014 &#8220;Transgender\u200d Assisted Reproduction: where is this going?&#8221;\u200d \u2014 was a convergence on my years of work in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/china-announces-major-investment-in-ivf-to-reverse-birth-rate-collapse\/\" title=\"China Announces Major Investment in IVF to Reverse Birth Rate Collapse\">assisted reproductive technology<\/a> and how this \u2062technology will most likely be needed\u2064 by trans-identifying people, especially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rUeqEoARKOA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">children who are fast-tracked to puberty blockers<\/a>, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries.<\/p>\n<p>When \u2063I first found out that children were being offered fertility preservation procedures, knowing that &#8220;gender \u2062affirmation care&#8221; harms natural and normal fertility,\u2064 I began speaking up\u200c and producing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&#038;rct=j&#038;q=&#038;esrc=s&#038;source=web&#038;cd=&#038;cad=rja&#038;uact=8&#038;ved=2ahUKEwis6fr0-7SCAxVyEVkFHR-OB9UQtwJ6BAgSEAI&#038;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D910JVOJSM2I%26vl%3Den&#038;usg=AOvVaw2pp6DxYOqVsA5jbeN32b2X&#038;opi=89978449\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">documentary films<\/a> about the lack of medical ethics \u200dand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/500-past-jeopardy-contestants-petition-show-to-remove-dr-oz-as-guest-host\/\" title=\"500 Past \u2018Jeopardy!\u2019 Contestants Petition Show To Remove Dr. Oz As Guest Host\">evidence-based medicine<\/a> supporting these practices. Pre-puberty, children are offered to \u2062cryopreserve their ovarian or testicular \u200ctissue because \u2064their\u2062 gametes, (ova and \u200bsperm) are not yet mature. Post-puberty, the child will have\u200c mature ova and \u2063sperm, so they are offered to freeze and bank their gametes.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/art\/reports\/2020\/summary.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">data<\/a> \u200cis clear. Most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/victims-of-erasing-sex-distinctions-lead-growing-coalition-against-trans-mutilation\/\" title=\"Victims Of Erasing Sex Distinctions Lead Growing Coalition Against Trans Mutilation\">assisted reproductive technology cycles fail<\/a>. Data is coming out \u200cabout the harms \u200band risks to children being created by these technologies. The maxim, &#8220;First, Do No Harm&#8221; is \u200dbeing ignored in \u2064offering hope \u200cof future\u200b children, when in fact\u200b this is considered an experimental procedure with no\u2063 data on this population. From the\u2064 audience&#8217;s reactions and comments, it was clear that this is a whole new \u2062level of doubling down on\u2063 harming children \u2064to \u200badvance an ideology that ignores biological reality, evidence-based medicine, and medical ethics.<\/p>\n<p>Times up, WPATH.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"> <\/p>\n<h2> How does Genspect aim to\u2064 promote a more \u200dnuanced and holistic understanding of \u2062gender in the\u2062 field of transgender health?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  Ing?&#8221; \u2014 might have given\u2063 away my perspective, but I aimed\u200c to present a fair and balanced assessment of the potential ethical, legal, \u200band\u200b societal implications of \u200dtransgender assisted reproduction. The discussion that\u200c ensued was passionate\u2063 and thought-provoking, with participants engaging in respectful dialogue and challenging\u2063 each other&#8217;s ideas.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the Genspect conference \u200bwas a resounding success. It provided a \u200cplatform for individuals from diverse backgrounds and \u200dperspectives to come together and critically examine the current approach to gender and transgender health. By hosting the conference alongside the WPATH meeting, Genspect \u200csignaled its intention to be a catalyst for change and a voice for \u200cthose who believe in a\u200d more nuanced and holistic understanding of \u200csex \u200cand gender.<\/p>\n<p>However, it is essential not to overlook the challenges that lie ahead. The\u200b entrenched nature of the current medical\u200b and psychological establishment, as represented by WPATH, means that change \u200dwill not come easily or quickly. Critics of Genspect argue that \u2063it is\u2063 merely\u200b an echo chamber for dissenters and does not have the\u2062 influence or reach necessary\u200d to\u200c effect substantial change within the field of transgender health.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Genspect has undeniably made \u2063progress \u200cin building a community of individuals who are committed to questioning the prevailing narratives and \u200dadvocating for a more thoughtful and compassionate \u200capproach to gender issues. The voices of detransitioners and\u200b whistleblowers are finally being heard, and their stories serve as a powerful reminder of the potential harm that \u200ccan occur when\u2064 the medical and psychological establishments prioritize ideology over the well-being of individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Moving forward, it\u200c is crucial for Genspect\u200d and \u200dother \u200corganizations advocating for change to collaborate and engage with influential stakeholders within the transgender health field.
