Why⁤ wouldn’t they? And there’s no reason to believe Trump wouldn’t return all of the legal drama heaped on him by Democrats in kind. Why wouldn’t he?

Maybe it ends with ⁢Trump, but at least for now,‌ gone ‌are the days that Democrats get to ⁢sleep‍ peacefully at⁣ night knowing that⁢ they can torment anyone and ⁣everyone who disagrees with them ⁣without consequence.‌ They don’t get to escalate political conflict and‌ then immediately call for a ceasefire.

They rigged the election in large part by hyping up⁢ a ‌relatively harmless virus. This ⁣includes potential investigations and prosecutions ⁢of those who were⁣ involved in‌ the ‍Mueller probe, impeachment proceedings, and any perceived attacks on his presidency.

Marcus, who has been a ⁢staunch critic of Trump, ⁢finally sees the potential‌ consequences of weaponizing ‌the justice‌ system⁤ for political gain. She acknowledges that targeting political opponents for‍ prosecution not only undermines the rule of law but also sets a dangerous precedent⁢ for ‍future administrations.

However, one wonders why it took⁣ Marcus so long to realize this. Throughout Trump’s presidency, there were numerous instances ‌of Democrats and the media advocating for the prosecution and criminalization of Trump and his ⁤associates. ‌This includes calls ‌for impeachment, investigations into alleged‍ collusion with Russia, and attacks⁢ on his character and ⁣legitimacy as president.

Now that the tables may be turning, ‍Marcus suddenly finds herself worried⁢ about the abuse of ‌power ⁤and the erosion⁢ of democratic norms. This has resulted in an increasingly polarized and divided society, where the rule⁣ of law is undermined⁤ by partisan interests.

If we truly value democracy ⁢and the rule of law, we must hold all politicians accountable for their ‌actions, ‌regardless of party affiliation.
