Jim ⁤Clyburn Criticizes Rep. Dean Phillips’s Presidential Campaign

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC), a key ally of President Joe Biden, ‌strongly criticized Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) for his decision to run⁢ for president. In an interview with Politico, Clyburn described Phillips’s campaign as “very, very ‍disrespectful.” Clyburn ⁣played a crucial role in helping Biden secure ⁤the Democratic nomination in 2020 by endorsing him‌ at a critical time.

Phillips’s Controversial Moves

Clyburn was particularly angered by Phillips’s strategy‍ of taking advantage of Biden’s absence from the New Hampshire primary ballot. Due to a complicated dispute between the state and the Democratic National Committee, Biden’s name was not included on the ballot. Phillips saw this‌ as an opportunity to secure an easy win in the state. Clyburn viewed this move as highly opportunistic and detrimental to the Democratic Party.

“I think Dean Phillips has a⁤ huge opportunity here to just crack the Democrat Party wide open,” Gov. Chris Sununu (R-NH) said last week.

Meanwhile,⁤ Phillips has⁢ been⁢ actively strengthening his ⁤campaign team. He has enlisted the help of Jeff Weaver, a prominent figure in Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-VT)⁢ previous presidential campaigns, and Zach ‌Graumann, who managed tech entrepreneur Andrew Yang’s 2020 presidential⁤ campaign, according to the Washington Post.

However, Steve Schmidt, a top adviser‍ for John ⁤McCain’s 2008 presidential run, is planning to leave Phillips’s campaign. He intends to form a super PAC that will raise funds for the Minnesota Democrat.

Overall, Clyburn’s criticism ‌of Phillips’s presidential campaign highlights the tensions within the⁢ Democratic Party and⁢ the strategic decisions made⁢ by ⁢candidates in their pursuit of the nomination.

Click here to read more from The Washington Examiner.

What tasks are typically expected of a housesitter regarding the ‍care of pets and the property?

Housesitting is ⁣a‌ service where someone takes care of ⁣a person’s home and pets while they are away. The housesitter typically stays overnight in the house and is responsible for tasks such as feeding and walking pets, watering plants, bringing in the mail, and general security of the property. Housesitting can be a great way for⁤ homeowners to have peace of mind ⁤while they are on vacation, as ‍they⁢ know their home and pets are being taken care of. Additionally, housesitting can be a cost-effective option for‌ people who don’t have pets but want to have a place to stay for‍ free while traveling.
