However, \u2062the Department\u2062 of Justice, which has become highly politicized, claims that state and local election officials\u200d cannot be trusted\u2063 to uphold the law. Consequently, the agency has decided to forcefully insert itself into the process.<\/p>\n<p>According to \u200ba press\u2063 release issued on Monday by \u200dthe\u200b DOJ, federal observers from its \u200cCivil Rights Division will be dispatched to &#8220;monitor for\u200b compliance\u200c with the federal voting rights \u2062laws&#8221; in various jurisdictions across the\u2064 country. Some of the locations listed include Union County, New Jersey; \u200dPawtucket and Woonsocket, Rhode Island; Madison\u2064 County and \u200cPanola County, Mississippi; and Prince William County, Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, in Union County, a consent decree proposed by the DOJ earlier this year was approved \u2064by a U.S. district court. This decree compels local election officials to provide a comprehensive Spanish-language election program\u200d for voters during the \u2064state&#8217;s \u2063November 7 elections. It also authorizes federal observers to monitor polling places throughout the county. The \u200bDOJ filed this consent decree in conjunction with a\u200c lawsuit alleging that Union County officials \u2064violated\u200c the Voting Rights Act by failing to provide such materials.<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ claims \u200dthat its Civil Rights Division enforces federal voting rights laws\u2064 to protect the rights of all citizens to access\u200d the ballot. The\u200b division regularly deploys its\u200b staff to monitor compliance with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/colorado-officials-sued-over-alleged-discrimination-against-christian-preschool\/\" title=\"Lawsuit filed against Colorado officials for alleged discrimination against Christian preschool.\">federal\u200b civil rights laws<\/a>\u200b in elections across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from New Jersey, Virginia, Mississippi, Pennsylvania,\u2062 Ohio, Kentucky, and several other states will determine the outcome of \u200ccritically important\u2062 elections on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>This is\u2064 not the first time the DOJ has engaged in this type of\u2062 election meddling. Last \u2064year, during\u200c the midterm elections, \u200dthe agency\u200b carried\u2063 out a similar scheme. As Victoria Marshall wrote, most of the 64 jurisdictions \u2062the DOJ &#8220;monitored&#8221; \u200cduring\u2063 the\u200c 2022 elections\u2063 were Democrat strongholds or swing districts in states with\u200b key midterm contests.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, the \u200djurisdictions being surveilled by the DOJ on \u200dTuesday are mostly Democrat strongholds. For example, during Virginia&#8217;s 2021 gubernatorial race, Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe won Prince William County\u2063 by nearly\u2062 15 points over\u2062 now-Gov. Glenn Youngkin, a Republican. Union, Pawtucket, and Woonsocket Counties all voted \u2063for Joe\u200c Biden \u200dduring the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ&#8217;s increasing efforts to\u2062 &#8220;monitor&#8221; local and\u2063 state elections seem to be aimed at \u2063curtailing the legitimate \u200dright of GOP poll watchers to oversee U.S. election administration.\u200d As more conservatives participate in \u200cthis legal form of election oversight, \u200clegacy media\u200d has been running hit \u200cpieces warning that MAGA \u200bRepublicans volunteering \u200cas poll watchers are plotting\u2062 to disrupt\u200b elections throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the left&#8217;s doomsday predictions, which \u2064never \u2064materialized, regime-approved media continues to perpetuate the lie that election \u2062workers are under constant \u2064threat from Republicans.
