And now, President Joe Biden&#8217;s struggling administration has found a perfect use for Transportation Secretary \u2063Pete Buttigieg,\u200c who has proven to be quite incompetent.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Buttigieg, who is openly gay, served \u2062as the messenger for \u200dDemocratic attacks on Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson&#8217;s Christian beliefs not once, but twice. He appeared on CNN to share a sob story about how Johnson&#8217;s views made him feel.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;I will\u2064 admit it&#8217;s a little bit difficult driving the family \u2062minivan to drop our kids off at day care passing the\u200c dome of the Capitol knowing that \u200dthe speaker of \u200dthe House sitting under that dome doesn&#8217;t even think our family ought to exist,&#8221; Buttigieg \u2063whined.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Johnson&#8217;s views on gay \u2064marriage and homosexual behavior were unearthed by CNN shortly after\u200c he became speaker. In response, Buttigieg\u200b and other prominent Democrats attacked\u200b his faith-based views.<\/p>\n<p>Buttigieg \u200ceven\u200c made a\u2063 snarky \u200bcomment about inviting Johnson over to \u2063his house, which is conveniently located near the Capitol. He claimed that his own\u200c domestic situation, being married to another man, represented the love of God.<\/p>\n<p>Buttigieg wasn&#8217;t the only Democrat to attack\u2064 Johnson&#8217;s Christian\u2064 beliefs. Former White House Press Secretary Jen\u2063 Psaki described him \u2062as a \u200dfar-right religious fanatic on MSNBC&#8217;s &#8220;Inside with Jen Psaki.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p>&#8220;His views on policy are essentially what you&#8217;d expect from a religious fundamentalist \u2014 they&#8217;re more divisive than divine,&#8221; Psaki said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Johnson responded \u200dto Psaki&#8217;s comment in an interview with Fox News&#8217; Kayleigh McEnany, emphasizing that true Christians are commanded to love God and their neighbors.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p>&#8220;If you truly believe in the Bible&#8217;s commands and seek to\u200d follow them, it&#8217;s impossible to be a hateful \u2064person because the greatest command in the Bible is that you love God \u2063with everything you have, and you love your neighbor \u200bas yourself,&#8221; Johnson said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Ironically, both Johnson \u200cand Buttigieg spoke of love, but their interpretations differed. Buttigieg saw his own domestic situation as a manifestation of God&#8217;s love, while Johnson emphasized the Christian message of loving others as oneself.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s important to understand that love, in the Christian sense, does not\u200c mean unconditional approval. Christians \u200bare called to \u200dlove sinners but\u2062 not endorse sinful behavior. Tolerance, as C.S.
