Talk about central planning,&#8221; Carr warned.<\/p>\n<p>If passed, the\u200d FCC would be empowered, for the first time, to regulate every ISP\u2019s service termination \u200cterms, use of customer credit, account history, credit\u200d checks, and account\u2063 termination, \u200camong many \u200cother items.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is no path \u2062to complying with this standardless regime. It reads\u200b like a planning \u2064document drawn up in the faculty lounge of a \u2064university\u2019s \u200bSoviet Studies Department,&#8221; Carr said.<\/p>\n<p>He added, &#8220;The Biden \u2064Administration\u2019s plan empowers the FCC to regulate every aspect of the Internet sector for the first time ever. The plan is motivated by \u2062an ideology of government control that is not compatible with \u200cthe \u200dfundamental precepts\u200d of free market capitalism.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Former FCC policy adviser Evan Swarztrauber said of \u2063Biden&#8217;s plan, &#8220;To call it &#8216;extreme&#8217; or &#8216;radical&#8217; doesn&#8217;t do this proposal\u200c justice.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Biden is turning &#8216;digital \u200bdiscrimination&#8217; into \u2064a\u2062 pretext \u2063for\u200d regulating everything.
