had descended and he\u200d wanted to be clear on his position that Israel \u2064had \u200da right to defend\u2062 itself.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;I would say to everybody marching across the world right now, supposedly in support of \u2018Free\u2063 Palestine,\u2019 in fact what they \u2064are doing, whether they intend it or not, is condoning the brutality and the murder that was\u2063 conducted by those\u200c Hamas \u2062terrorists\u2014and which, by the way,\u200d they would\u200b do again,&#8221; Mr. Johnson said\u200b on Channel\u2062 12 news <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/liveblog_entry\/uks-johnson-marchers-for-free-palestine-are-condoning-the-brutality-of-the-hamas-terrorists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in Israel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;And that is why it is\u2063 so important that Israel is \u200cgiven the time and the space to \u2062do what it needs to do\u2014to catch the murderers and to make sure that they can\u2019t do it again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Current Australian \u2063Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has yet to visit Israel and is currently in Beijing for a meeting with\u2062 Chinese leader Xi Jinping.<\/p>\n<p>However, \u2062Mr. \u200cAlbanese did speak with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu last week.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>In a press conference, Mr.\u2062 Albanese said Israel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pm.gov.au\/media\/press-conference-sydney-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has \u2062a right to defend\u200b itself<\/a>, and that his government wanted to see all innocent lives protected.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Australian leader said &#8220;Every life matters. \u2063Every Israeli, every Palestinian,&#8221; elaborating that innocent people were impacted in Israel and Palestine.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;We continue to urge\u2063 for all civilians to be protected, for the international rule of law to be applied,&#8221; Mr. Albanese said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>Blinken Travels to\u200b Israel \u200dand the West Bank<\/h2>\n<p>Meanwhile, U.S. \u200dSecretary of State Antony\u2064 Blinken has travelled to the West Bank, meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. leader said\u200c he met\u200d with\u2064 President Abbas and affirmed the U.S.&#8217;s commitment to\u2062 the\u200c delivery of essential services \u200dto Gaza. \u200bMr. Blinken also reaffirmed\u200b U.S. support for a two-state solution, and that extremist violence against Palestinians in the\u2063 West Bank must end.<\/p>\n<p>The secretary\u2064 also met with King\u200c Abdullah \u2062II \u200cof Jordan and \u200cCrown Prince \u200dAl Hussein regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We remain committed to working towards a durable and\u200b sustainable \u200dpeace in the region, including the establishment of a Palestinian state,&#8221;
