And while some will ignore the destructive behavior of the former president, I assure\u200c you we ignore it at our own peril.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<h2>&#8216;Drop Out&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>While\u200c Mr. Hutchinson didn&#8217;t address the audience boos, he took \u2062to X to post the clip and\u2063 captioned it with the remark: &#8220;Proud of Florida Republicans for \u2063listening. The future of the GOP \u2064is\u2063 at stake in \u200c2024.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Besides sparking a negative audience reaction, Mr. Hutchinson&#8217;s remarks also drew a critical take\u2063 from some lawmakers on \u200dCapitol\u200c Hill.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>&#8220;To hell with this guy! Drop out!! ANYONE running for\u200d President that thinks they have a \u2063chance because\u200c they are banking on Pres Trump going to jail will NEVER have\u2063 our support,&#8221; Rep.\u200d Marjorie Taylor\u2062 Greene\u2064 (R-Ga.) said in \u2064a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mtgreenee\/status\/1720817396171108808?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;The\u2062 weaponized government\u200c and courts \u200cMUST be dismantled \u2064and fools who refuse to do it are part of it,&#8221;\u200c she added, hinting\u200b at her\u2063 opposition to the view expressed by Mr. Hutchinson that a Trump guilty\u200c verdict represents the American justice system &#8220;at\u2062 work.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-figure\" style=\"margin-left:0;margin-right:0;max-width:1200px\">\n<figure style=\"width:640px;margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto\" class=\"alignnone\"><figcaption>  Rep. (Dave Sanders\/Photo\u200b via AP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Weeks \u200dlater, the judge was \u200balerted to the fact that although \u2064the post had been deleted almost immediately\u2063 from social media, a copy of the post was left archived on one of \u2063President Trump&#8217;s \u2062campaign websites for 17\u2064 days after the order.<\/p>\n<p>So the judge fined President Trump $5,000 and warned of \u200bmore severe penalties, including possible &#8220;imprisonment&#8221; if he\u2063 continued to violate the order.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Alina Habba, the former president&#8217;s attorney, said jail time is \u201cnot even something we think about\u201d as the trial against her client in New York headed into its fifth week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cListen, he\u2019s protected by Secret Service, \u2063No. 1. No. 2, he did nothing wrong,\u201d Ms. Habba told Newsmax. \u201cSo, when people go to jail it\u2019s because \u2064they\u2019ve done something wrong. Do \u2063we have crooked situations in and out of court? Absolutely. Could they try? Probably. But \u2062it won\u2019t \u200dwork because there is \u200dstill \u2062 [a] trial process.
