Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Actress Brooke Shields Suffers\u2062 Grand Mal Seizure, Warns\u2064 What She Drank Before\u200d Had Everything \u200bto Do With It<\/h2>\n<p>There\u2019s an old AP Statistics \u2064joke meant to illustrate the fallacy of\u2063 conflating correlation and causation that\u200d goes \u2064something like this: \u201cEvery \u2062person \u200bwho has died\u2064 in a car \u2062crash drank\u200c water\u2063 within the week of\u2063 the fatal\u2064 accident.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, despite the\u2064 nigh 100 percent correlation \u2063of people who drink water and people who die in vehicular\u2063 accidents, it would be foolish to suggest \u200dthat water\u200b played any\u200b sort of causal role in death.<\/p>\n<p>For longtime actress and \u200cmodel Brooke Shields, it would be anything but foolish to\u2064 suggest that everyday\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dem-city-strips-clean-drinking-water-students-protect-covid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">drinking water<\/a> \u2063 did, in fact, trigger a wild health scare in her recently.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glamour.com\/story\/brooke-shields-recently-experienced-a-full-blown-seizure-and-bradley-cooper-came-running\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glamour<\/a> magazine \u2064to help promote her\u200c new\u200c one-woman show in New York City, \u200dShields revealed that she suffered a \u201cfull-blown\u2062 grand \u200dmal seizure\u201d a week before the \u2062show\u2019s \u2062opening in September.<\/p>\n<p>And it was all because she drank water.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was preparing for the show, and \u200cI was drinking so much water, and I \u200ddidn\u2019t know \u2063I \u2063was low in sodium,\u201d Shields told Glamour \u2064editor-in-chief Samantha Barry. \u201cI was waiting for an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/couple-stuns-uber-driver-free-ticket-garth-brooks-concert-credits-god-timing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Uber<\/a>.\u2063 I get down to \u200cthe bottom of the \u200bsteps, and \u2064I start\u2063 evidently looking\u200d weird, \u200band [the people I was with] were like, \u2018Are \u200byou\u200b okay?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shields revealed that \u201cNobody knows about\u201d this particular health scare \u2063\u2014 except for, very \u2063randomly,\u200d actor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hollywood-star-bradley-cooper-attack-alleged-jewface-upcoming-movie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bradley Cooper<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Shields explained that after people asked if she\u2063 was okay (she told them she was \u201cgreat\u201d at\u200d the time), she aimlessly wandered around the\u2062 restaurant L\u2019Artusi (\u201cWhy am I out here?\u201d she wondered to herself, apparently) \u2063before \u200dentering \u200dthe eatery\u2062 proper.<\/p>\n<p>It was here\u2063 that things\u200d took a\u2063 bad turn and when Cooper entered the picture.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen my hands drop to my side and I go headfirst into the wall,\u201d Shields told Glamour.<\/p>\n<p>Scarily, the 58-year-old added that she was\u200d \u201cfrothing\u200c at the mouth, totally \u200dblue, trying \u2064to swallow my tongue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After blacking out, Shields woke in an ambulance to find Cooper, of all people, \u200chovering\u200c over her prone self.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe\u200b next \u200dthing\u200c I\u200d remember, I\u2019m\u2063 being loaded into an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/speculation-arises-ambulance-seen-parked-driveway-white-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ambulance<\/a>.
