You can&#8217;t simultaneously hold\u200d the position that there should\u2064 be no Jewish state in the region and then criticize me for \u2064saying\u200d that Arabs won&#8217;t \u2064accept a Jewish state,\u201d Shapiro asserted.<\/p>\n<p>During\u200c the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-1NFirxhXWE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full debate<\/a>, Shapiro remarked, \u201cYour logic\u200b is that if you&#8217;re a terrorist group \u2064located \u200din a densely populated\u200b area, you can hide behind civilians and be immune.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When one student referred to \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hamas-co-founders-son-declares-group-nazis-says-civilians-choose-hamas-die-not-israels-fault\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel&#8217;s attacks<\/a> on \u2064Gaza as \u201cone-sided ethnic cleansing,\u201d Shapiro \u2063responded, \u201cI certainly\u2062 hope\u2062 Israel\u2062 is killing more \u2063Hamas\u2026\u201d before being\u200b interrupted by the crowd.<\/p>\n<p>After being told that Israeli retaliation against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/sobering-message-americans-backing-gaza-coming-next-hate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gaza<\/a> was not a just war, Shapiro countered, \u201cSo it&#8217;s not \u2064a just \u2064war when you fight against people who have murdered\u200b 1,500 of your\u200b civilians?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shapiro \u200dfurther explained \u200bhis position \u200bin\u200d an \u200dOp-Ed\u200b in \u200dthe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2023\/11\/01\/the-west-must-wake-up-monsters-exist-and-evil-is-real\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In\u2063 the article,\u200d he highlighted that the \u2063Oxford \u2063University and \u2063College Union recently considered a motion stating, \u201conly a mass uprising on both sides of the green line\u2064 and across the Middle East can free the Palestinian people,\u201d and labeled the Hamas \u200ckilling of \u2062civilians \u200cas \u201ca \u200bdirect\u200b consequence \u200cof decades of violent oppression of the Palestinian people by the Israeli state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis motion\u200d is pure and\u2064 simple Jew-hatred.
