The promises of happiness and fulfillment that were sold to \u200bthem by doctors and experts in\u2064 the field turned out to be empty and false.<\/p>\n<p>Garcia explains, \u200c\u2064&#8221;I\u200c expected that transitioning would solve all of my\u2063 insecurities and inner turmoil, but instead, it only created more\u2063. The physical changes and the constant pressure to conform to \u2062societal expectations of\u200c what it means to be a man or a\u2063 woman became overwhelming for \u200cme.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Similarly,\u2064 Strongin shares, \u2063&#8221;I believed that transitioning would solve all my problems and make me finally feel like I belonged.
