And no \u201cMAGA\u201d voters or Christian groups have perpetrated any \u200dterror attacks on the \u200chomeland.<\/p>\n<p>In that absurd attack on Americans, Karem went on a tear, saying Republicans \u2062want\u200d a \u201ctheocracy,\u201d\u2063 that they \u201cdespise free thought and independence,\u201d and that they \u200binsist we \u201cdon\u2019t \u2062live in \u2064a democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the second <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salon.com\/2023\/10\/12\/hamas-and-the-are-both-terrorist-groups--its-just-a-matter-of-degree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">appalling piece<\/a> Thursday, Karem insisted that Republicans \u2062\u201care terrorists like the leaders of \u200bHamas,\u201d they \u201cpreach division \u2026 hate \u2026 fear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He went on to insist that that \u201cThere \u2064is little difference between [South Carolina Sen. Tim] Scott, [Louisiana Rep. Steve] Scalise and Hamas,\u201d and outrageously added, \u201cFurther, there is little or no difference between \u2064most of the GOP\u2062 leadership, including Jim Jordan and Donald Trump, and the leaders of Hamas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDonald Trump and his followers \u200dare terrorists,\u201d Karem added.<\/p>\n<p>This \u200bis an outright calumny, of course. Republican leaders are nothing like Hamas. They have \u200ckilled no \u200done. Not that their second headline was \u2064much better.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Holy sh*t they actually hit publish <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KJPuXhTKNa\">pic.twitter.com\/KJPuXhTKNa<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 \u2063End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EndWokeness\/status\/1720116499493396665?\">November 2, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The original title of the\u2062 piece proclaimed,\u200d \u201cMAGA and Christian nationalism: Bigger threat to America than Hamas could ever\u200c be.\u201d \u200cSalon changed it to read, \u2062\u201cFar-right MAGA theocrats: Most dangerous threat to\u2062 America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Neither headline contained any truth. But both articles are perfect examples of how the far \u200bleft in America \u200chas worked \u200dagainst half\u200c the country, with FBI \u2063stormtroopers \u201cinvestigating\u201d and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rep-crawford-garland-fbi-memo-threat-every-american-cares-childs-education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">harassing parents<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/maryland-school-district-announces-policy-to-push-anti-racist-thinking-in-preschool-redefine-discrimination-and-racism\/\" title=\"Maryland School District Announces Policy to Push \u2018Anti-Racist Thinking\u2019 In Preschool, Redefine \u2018Discrimination\u2019 and \u2018Racism\u2019\">school board meetings<\/a> \u2064and\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fbi-now-targeting-trump-supporters-ahead-2024-election-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MAGA voters<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/lois-lerner-irs-mccain-tea-party\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IRS harassing Christian<\/a> organizations or Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hillary-deplorables-bidens-dregs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">calling MAGA \u2064voters<\/a> \u200c \u201cdeplorables\u201d and haters.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"author_subscription_pitch\">.author_subscription_pitch p{margin:5px;}<\/p>\n<p><em><b>A Note from\u2063 Our \u2064Staff:<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Did you know that 90\u2064 percent of advertisers will have nothing\u2063 to\u2062 do with The Western Journal? This\u2062 article discredits Salon&#8217;s unfounded \u2062assertion and highlights the glaring contradictions in their argument.<\/p>\n<p>Downplaying the Threat of Terror<\/p>\n<p>Just days after the October 7th \u2064terror attack on Israel, writer Brian Karem penned an article on Salon.com, labeling the\u2062 GOP as a\u200c terrorist group and asserting that &#8220;far-right MAGA theocrats&#8221; pose a greater \u2062threat to America than Islamic terrorists. This \u200dstatement is\u200d not only baseless but also disrespectful to the victims of terrorist attacks carried out by Islamist extremists. Since \u200b2001, more than 3,000 Americans have lost their lives in acts of terrorism, with September 11th being the most devastating event. It is important to note that \u200cneither MAGA \u200bvoters nor Christian groups have perpetrated any terror attacks on American soil.<\/p>\n<p>Unfounded Accusations and Divisive Rhetoric<\/p>\n<p>Karem&#8217;s article goes beyond mere comparisons and ventures into divisive rhetoric by stating that Republicans want a &#8220;theocracy&#8221; and \u200ddespise free thought\u2063 and independence. These sweeping generalizations are not only false but also undermine\u200d the principles\u200c of democracy and respect for diverse political opinions. Painting an entire political party with such a broad brush is a disservice to healthy political discourse.<\/p>\n<p>Equating Republican Leaders to Hamas<\/p>\n<p>Continuing his tirade against \u200cRepublicans, Karem&#8217;s second article claims that they are just as much terrorists as the leaders of Hamas. Republican leaders have not\u200c engaged in acts of violence, nor have they committed \u200cheinous acts such as the murder of innocent civilians or\u200c the oppression of entire populations. Hamas, on the\u200c other hand, openly boasts about its\u2063 ongoing acts of violence and its intention to \u2063continue them. Equating these drastically different entities amounts to a blatant misrepresentation of reality.<\/p>\n<p>Conclusion<\/p>\n<p>Salon&#8217;s attempt to downplay the threat of \u200bHamas terrorism and vilify supporters of MAGA, Christians, and Republicans is truly concerning. It\u200d is essential to engage in responsible journalism that presents facts and encourages rational debate.
