We did everything \u2064within the legal limits to prepare and respond,&#8221; Patel explained.<\/p>\n<p>Patel&#8217;s testimony countered the plaintiffs&#8217; claim that Trump failed to take sufficient action \u2062to prevent or stop the \u2063violence on January 6. He stated, &#8220;If you want to make that assumption because the cameras are on, you can go right ahead, but I \u2063don&#8217;t believe that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In a video \u200dposted on Truth Social, President Trump expressed his thoughts \u200bon the case, \u2062stating, &#8220;A fake trial is currently taking place to try and illegally remove my name from the ballot.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I often say \u2063that 2024 will be the most important election in\u2063 the history of our country. The \u200breason for that, \u200band that statement,\u2064 is \u2062that our country is being destroyed by \u2064people who have no idea what they\u2019re doing; or even worse, they may very \u2063well have an idea.
