What criminal case?\u201d Watters began.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Could There Be More to the Story?<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cCould it \u200dbe related to the hammer attack on her husband, Pauly P? \u2018Cause that trial starts next week,\u201d he pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDoes it have something \u200dto do with her husband\u2019s DUI?\u201d Watters continued,\u200d referring to Paul Pelosi\u2019s drunk driving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/paul-pelosi-pleads-guilty-dui-charge-gets-off-no-additional-jail-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conviction<\/a> following a May 2022 car accident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOr is \u200bthere something behind door No. 3? Maybe a \u2064little insider trading? We don\u2019t\u200c know,\u201d the host continued. \u201cWe asked Pelosi\u2019s office to explain. They said, \u2018No comment.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut \u2063subpoenas aren\u2019t \u200bnothing, especially in a criminal case. It suggests there\u2019s something Nancy does not want to hand over voluntarily. You don\u2019t subpoena the\u2063 willing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Watters is right to be skeptical.<\/p>\n<p>Why would Nancy Pelosi \u200bneed to be compelled to turn over information about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-paul-pelosi-bodycam-footage-finally-released-watch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attack<\/a> on her husband? Innocent\u200c victims usually want justice and \u2064do everything they can to cooperate with investigators.<\/p>\n<p>If Pelosi is withholding documents in\u2064 the DePape case, it\u200b only serves to\u200d raise additional questions about an incident that\u200b was\u2062 bizarre from the beginning \u2014 including what information Pelosi could possibly have related to \u200cher husband\u2019s seemingly random attack.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t to suggest that it\u2062 was some plot she \u2063cooked up against her husband, or that it was an\u200b illicit tryst gone wrong (a popular theory in the\u2063 immediate aftermath of the\u200c attack).<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s to point out that, as Watters noted, the subpoena may be related\u200d to another case altogether.<\/p>\n<p>That would be easy enough to convey to the public.
