Not only should these calls be\u2063 ignored. They should be denounced.<\/p>\n<p>Why? Because calls for a ceasefire reward barbarism. The \u2063usual double \u2062standard is hard at work: Hamas terrorists\u2062 spent years planning the murder of more \u2063than\u2063 1,400 Jews on October 7, and\u200d Hamas terrorists continue to hold hundreds of captives, including Americans, while shelling\u2063 Israel\u200d with indiscriminate\u200b rocket fire. \u200dYet it is somehow Israel&#8217;s responsibility to\u2064 exercise self-restraint.<\/p>\n<p>This interpretation of the situation is entirely backward. Hamas \u2063could end \u200call this tomorrow\u2063 if it released the hostages, put down its arms, and surrendered. Hamas, \u2062not\u2064 Israel, is the aggressor. Hamas, not Israel, is the &#8220;occupier&#8221; of the Gaza Strip. Hamas, not Israel, rejects international law. Hamas, not Israel, steals food, fuel, and\u200c water \u200cfrom civilians. And the fact that these\u200c words need to be written at all is evidence that the culture-producing institutions of the West\u2014the media, the universities, cultural and political\u2063 celebrities\u2014are irreparably broken.<\/p>\n<p>A \u200dceasefire would be worse than useless. If Israel were\u200b to end combat operations now, with Hamas in control of the Gaza Strip and captives hidden in the\u200d maze of tunnels\u200d known as the Gaza Metro, then\u2062 the\u2064 terrorists will score a remarkable victory.\u200b Harassment and attacks on Jews worldwide\u200d will surge.<\/p>\n<p>Hamas will regroup. Its strategy of using civilians as pawns in a chess match for global opinion will have proven effective once again. Its ranks will swell. It will plot its next \u200bmove. &#8220;The Al-Aqsa Deluge&#8221;\u2014Hamas&#8217;s name for its October 7 crime against humanity\u2014&#8221;is just the first\u2064 time,&#8221;\u2064 Ghazi Hamad, a Hamas factotum, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/hamas-official-says-group-aims-to-repeat-oct-7-onslaught-many-times-to-destroy-israel\/?utm_campaign=daily-edition-2023-11-02&#038;utm_medium=email&#038;utm_source=The+Daily+Edition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> on Lebanese television the other day. &#8220;And there will be a second, a third, a fourth.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hamad&#8217;s words reinforce the \u2063lesson of October 7: You cannot maintain a ceasefire against homicidal maniacs with genocidal intent.\u200c Since 2007, Israel believed that\u2064 Hamas could be bought off, that the price \u200bof d\u00e9tente was\u200c rocket fire and intermittent conflict to &#8220;mow the \u2062lawn&#8221; of terrorists. D\u00e9tente was \u200can illusion. Hamas used \u200bthe pause between\u2064 wars to \u2064plan the worst terrorist attack in\u200c Israel&#8217;s history. Hamas will \u200ddo \u200bso again if given\u2062 the chance.<\/p>\n<p>Israel won&#8217;t \u200dgive it the chance\u2014unless outside pressure\u200d forces Israel to halt prematurely. Unfortunately, as I write, the pressure on\u200b Israel is intense. The cretins at\u2063 the United Nations want a\u200d ceasefire. So-called peace activists have similar demands. American campuses are\u200c rife with pro-Hamas and anti-Semitic voices.<\/p>\n<p>The socialist &#8220;Squad&#8221; \u2063of Democratic lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives\u2062 defame AIPAC\u200b and the pro-Israel community while regurgitating Hamas \u2064propaganda. Bureaucrats in the State\u200b Department and the White House are livid at President Biden for supporting a democratic nation&#8217;s right to \u2063self-defense. Democratic strategists worry that Biden&#8217;s commitment to Israel might cost him votes in Michigan, throwing the election to Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>And Biden\u200c is starting to crack. At \u2064an event in Minnesota on Wednesday, a deranged heckler screamed at Biden to\u2064 impose a \u200bceasefire.\u200d Biden\u2063 could \u200dhave \u2062stayed silent. He could have told off the heckler\u2064 by detailing Hamas&#8217;s evil\u2014yes, evil\u2014acts and by saying America will stand with Israel in\u200d this\u200d existential struggle. Instead he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/heckler-pushes-israel-hamas-ceasefire-biden-says-we-need-pause-2023-11-02\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> the crowd that &#8220;I think we \u200bneed a pause. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-heckled-by-rabbi-calling-for-gaza-ceasefire-during-campaign-stop\/\" title=\"Rabbi interrupts Biden's campaign, urges Gaza ceasefire.\">pause means give time<\/a> to get the prisoners out.&#8221; That is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/11\/02\/us\/politics\/biden-israel-gaza-fighting-pause.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">message<\/a> Secretary of\u2062 State Antony Blinken will\u2063 convey\u200d to Prime Minister \u2062Benjamin Netanyahu.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s not play this game of international telephone. A \u2063&#8221;pause&#8221; is nothing \u2063less than a short-lived ceasefire. And for Biden, \u2062a mini-ceasefire is an \u200cexcuse. It \u2063is his way of playing for time, of getting the Left off his back. It won&#8217;t work. There have \u2062been pauses \u2063in the fighting to\u200c allow humanitarian aid into Gaza. Hamas\u200b steals the aid \u2062and uses it for its war machine. There have been pauses to \u2062let civilians in\u200d Gaza evacuate to \u2063the southern part \u2063of the Strip or, in select cases, transit the Rafah crossing into Egypt. Hamas won&#8217;t let people leave. Since October 7,\u200b Hamas has released five hostages. Hundreds \u200care still in captivity\u2014including \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/bring-them-home-uk-sun-front-page-shows-faces-of-32-children-in-hamas-captivity\/?utm_campaign=daily-edition-2023-11-02&#038;utm_medium=email&#038;utm_source=The+Daily+Edition.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">32 children<\/a>. The youngest is\u200b nine months old. Nine months.<\/p>\n<p>Hamas doesn&#8217;t need a pause to\u2064 &#8220;get the prisoners \u2062out.&#8221; It needs a conscience.\u2063 And it needs to pay.<\/p>\n<p>If Biden appeases the Left, if he persuades Israel to relent before every hostage is accounted \u2063for and before\u200c Hamas and \u200dits enablers no longer exist as a coherent force,\u2062 then the Middle East and the world will grow immeasurably\u2062 more \u200ddangerous. Iran will be emboldened. Its meticulously constructed &#8220;ring of fire&#8221; surrounding\u200c Israel will\u200b remain\u2064 intact. Hezbollah will \u2063be in\u200b reserve. \u2062And Israel \u200bwill be\u200b demoralized.<\/p>\n<p>That is\u200b precisely the wrong outcome. Trauma and \u200ctravesty have united Israeli society \u200caround a common purpose: the end of the terrorist organization that\u200d committed the worst crime against Jews since the\u200d Holocaust. And while President Biden has supported Israel,\u200b he has also taken pains to\u200b remind the Jewish state, like it is some sort of a wayward pupil, to &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2023\/10\/10\/remarks-by-president-biden-on-the-terrorist-attacks-in-israel-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">uphold the laws of war<\/a>,&#8221; protect civilian lives, and periodically suspend \u200cits military campaign according to an arbitrary \u200dtimetable.\u200c The implication is that Israel is <em>not <\/em>obeying international law or doing everything in its power to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/netanyahu-blasts-claims-that-ap-reporters-were-lucky-to-get-out-of-building-it-wasnt-luck\/\" title=\"Netanyahu Blasts Claims That AP Reporters Were \u2018Lucky\u2019 To Get Out Of Building: \u2018It Wasn\u2019t Luck\u2019\">avoid civilian casualties<\/a>. And \u2063that\u200d implication is insulting.<\/p>\n<p>Why not try a different strategy? Why not \u200csay that\u200b Israel has every right to protect itself, that Hamas is responsible \u200bfor every \u2062life lost, and \u200bthat America will stand with Israel until the job is done? \u200cNo more equivocation.\u2064 No more\u2062 dithering. No more \u200dobedience \u200cto the politically correct. Let Israel win.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> How has Israel demonstrated \u200crestraint in its response to Hamas \u200baggression?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  Com<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/these-four-states-are-combating-big-tech-censorship\/\" title=\"These Four States Are Combating Big Tech Censorship\">\/politics\/inside-politics\/<\/a>let-israel-win\/&#8221;>Americans<\/a>. Hamas will \u2062exploit any pause in the fighting \u2064to further its agenda \u2063of terror and destruction.<\/p>\n<p>Israel, on the other hand, has a \u2063right\u2063 to defend itself. It has a right to protect its citizens \u2062from relentless rocket attacks and\u2062 terrorist\u2063 threats. The\u200d Israeli\u2064 Defense\u2062 Forces have shown \u2062remarkable \u2064restraint in their \u2062response to Hamas aggression. Precision airstrikes, targeted assassinations, and now\u200c a ground \u2063campaign have been carefully executed to \u200c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rashida-tlaib-fundraiser-with-ties-to-hamas-accuses-israel-of-genocide\/\" title=\"Rashida Tlaib-linked fundraiser accuses Israel of 'genocide'\">minimize\u2062 civilian casualties<\/a>. Israel has even\u2064 warned residents of targeted \u200bbuildings to evacuate before \u2063striking, a level \u2063of caution\u2063 rarely seen in any other conflict.<\/p>\n<p>But while Israel exercises self-restraint,\u200b Hamas\u2064 continues to use innocent Palestinians \u2063as human shields. It deliberately places rocket launchers in \u2064civilian areas, schools,\u200c and hospitals, using the people of Gaza as cover for\u2062 its \u200cterrorist activities. This is \u2063a war \u200ccrime, and yet the\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/let-israel-win\/\" title=\"Israel must emerge victorious.\">international community\u2062 remains largely silent<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Israel\u2019s goal is \u2063not to eradicate the Palestinian people or \u200dto occupy the Gaza Strip. Its \u200dgoal is to\u200c dismantle the terrorist infrastructure that\u200c threatens\u200c its security and \u2064the safety of its\u200b citizens. Hamas, on the other hand, seeks \u2062the destruction of Israel \u2062and the genocide of the \u2062Jewish people. These are not equal \u200bsides \u2063in a conflict. \u200cIsrael&#8217;s \u2062right to self-defense \u2062must be \u2064recognized and supported.<\/p>\n<p>The calls \u200bfor a ceasefire are misguided and dangerous. They ignore the fact that Hamas will never honor\u200c any agreement.\u2062 They reward terrorist organizations for their aggression \u200cand make a mockery of\u200c international law. They send a message that \u2062violence \u2063and terrorism\u200d will be tolerated, while \u2064self-defense will\u200b be condemned.<\/p>\n<p>Israel must be allowed to win. It must be given\u200b the space and time to dismantle Hamas, destroy its tunnels, and neutralize its rocket arsenal. Only then can a lasting peace be achieved. Only then \u200dcan the people of Israel and\u200c Gaza live without fear.<\/p>\n<p>The world must stand\u2063 with Israel. It must support its right to self-defense and condemn the terrorist actions of \u2063Hamas. It must hold Hamas accountable for its war crimes and \u200bdemand the immediate release of all \u200chostages.<\/p>\n<p>Israel&#8217;s right to\u2063 self-defense is not \u200bnegotiable. It is a fundamental principle of international law.
