You are a disgrace to\u2063 the legal\u200d profession!&#8221; he wrote on Truth Social.<\/p>\n<h2>Case<\/h2>\n<p>Her brother Donald Trump Jr. took the\u2062 witness stand on Nov. 1,\u200b and will continue to\u200b testify on Nov. 2. Eric Trump will testify \u2064next.<\/p>\n<p>Last September, the New York Attorney General sued Trump Organization executives including former President Donald Trump and his two adult sons, and Ms. Trump, accusing\u200d the former \u2064president of defrauding the state by artificially inflating his net worth. Prosecutors argued\u2064 that banks and lenders took undue risks because the Trump Organization asset values were inflated on the annual statements of financial condition (SFC), and are asking for $250 million in damages and to \u200cbar the defendants from doing business \u200cin New York for five \u2064years.<\/p>\n<p>Justice\u200b Engoron has \u2064already ordered the cancellation of Trump Organization business certificates and the \u200dpassing over of those\u2062 entities to a third party to sell off, but the process has \u2062been paused by an appeals court.<\/p>\n<p>Over the summer, an appeals court had put a statute of limitations on the case, and dismissed Ms. Trump as a defendant because of that ruling. Ms. Trump had left Trump Organization by 2016 to take an adviser post in the White House\u2064 alongside\u200b her father.<\/p>\n<h2>Statute of Limitations<\/h2>\n<p>In June,\u2063 the appeals court limited the case to transactions completed after Feb. 6,\u2064 2016, and claims accrued after July 13, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The attorney general&#8217;s office originally brought for claims related to the SFCs\u2063 of 2011\u2064 to 2021, and have continued to present evidence in court that falls outside the statute of limitations.<\/p>\n<p>Defense attorneys have\u2063 routinely objected to the \u200bentering of \u200bsuch evidence or testimony, but\u200d Justice Engoron has continued to allow it, ruling that prosecutors are allowed to present \u200dsuch information if\u2062 they can connect it\u2064 to claims accrued after 2014 and transactions completed after 2016.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> Why did Ivanka Trump&#8217;s attorney file a notice of\u200c appeal in the civil fraud trial?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  \u2063 In a recent development, Ivanka Trump&#8217;s attorney \u200bhas filed a notice of appeal after the businesswoman was\u2063 ordered by a judge to testify in \u200dthe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-fraud-trial-judge-arthur-engoron-donated-to-democrats-for-decades\/\" title=\"Judge Arthur Engoron, presiding over Trump's fraud trial, has a long history of donating to Democrats.\">civil fraud trial involving<\/a> her father and brothers.
