That is what one border patrol agent brought to Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n<p>In turn, Hawley brought the misuse of\u200d these agents to the attention of U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, who\u200d did not deny the claim in a recent hearing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAre there HSI \u200cspecial agents who\u2063 are currently at the border having them pulled away from other cases?\u201d Hawley asked of \u200cMayorkas\u200c in a video shared on\u200d X. Mayorkas responded by \u200cdiverting the answer in a wrong direction.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">This is wild. But\u200d that\u2064 wasn\u2019t what Hawley was\u2063 implying\u200c at\u2062 all.<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas knew \u200cthis. He was\u200b being purposefully deceptive in his\u2064 response.<\/p>\n<p>Hawley met the diversion\u200c with a direct accusation. \u201cThat\u2019s not what the\u2063 special\u2062 agent is alleging,\u201d he\u2062 continued. \u201cShe \u200csaid that they are being\u200d taken off of\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fentanyl-killing-record-numbers-many-dealers-san-frans-leftist-da-says-convicted\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fentanyl<\/a> [addiction], off\u200d of child \u2062exploitation cases, off of their other investigations into criminals to make sandwiches. That\u2019s her \u2063quote. You are saying that \u200cthis is a lie, that she\u2019s wrong?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas sheepishly\u200c answered the senator\u2019s claim while trying to reach for a reasonable answer: \u201cSenator, we \u2064have\u2064 a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/completely-absent-arizona-law-enforcement-leaders-slam-mark-kelly\/\" title=\"\u2018Completely Absent\u2019: Arizona Law Enforcement Leaders Slam Mark Kelly\">law enforcement priorities<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hawley \u200bresponded, \u201cIs making \u2062sandwiches \u2064one of them?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas, \u2063once again, \u2063tried \u2063to\u2062 push \u200doff answering, denying by not saying anything definitive or concrete at all. Hawley refused to allow him to do so, rather\u200b forcing the \u2062secretary \u2062into\u200c a corner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs she wrong?\u201d\u200c Hawley \u2063continued. The special agent and whistleblower described 600 agents being pulled off of critical cases to go down\u200c to the border to \u201cbabysit\u201d and make sandwiches\u2063 for illegal immigrants. The question is a pertinent \u200band fair one to \u2063ask. Senator Josh\u2062 Hawley grilled Secretary Mayorkas over it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSenator, we use our\u2063 personnel to achieve the\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-dhs-pulling-agents-off-child-trafficking-cases-so-they-can-go-make-food-for-illegals\/\" title=\"Biden's DHS prioritizes feeding illegals over child trafficking cases.\">maximum law enforcement objective<\/a>\u200c possible.\u2062 That \u2062is \u200cwhat we\u200b do \u200b\u2026\u201d replied Mayorkas.<\/p>\n<p>Hawley, smirked, said,\u2062 \u201cSo you are not going to deny it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas answered \u200bby stating how proud he was of his agents and agency.<\/p>\n<p>Hawley \u2062could hardly \u2063believe his ears. \u201cThis is news.\u2062 This is news.\u201d Hawley\u200c hardly could\u2063 contain his disgust.<\/p>\n<p>Secretary \u200dMayorkas\u200b can\u2019t \u2064deny it.\u200b As Hawley stated, \u201cThis is news.\u201d But it is nothing new. The American people have come\u2063 to expect this\u2063 kind of nonsense \u2062from the Biden administration. Every \u2062agency is a joke.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve been left\u200c vulnerable as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/border-numbers-disastrous-feds-release-no-one-paying-attention\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nation<\/a>, unprotected at the hands of\u2063 our own government.
