The\u200b Department \u2064of Transportation, for \u200dexample, \u200bwould face a reduction of approximately $7 billion compared to the funding \u2062levels of\u2063 fiscal year 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Housing\u2063 and Urban Development funding would \u200cbe cut by $1.2 billion \u2063compared \u200cto 2023 levels,\u2063 while the EPA&#8217;s funding would be reduced by nearly $4 billion, bringing it to levels not seen\u2064 since FY 1991, according to \u200bthe White House.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>For these bills to\u200c pass, they would need to be approved by the GOP-controlled House and\u2064 the Democratic-controlled \u2064Senate.
