He wasn\u2019t even asking specifically \u200babout Biden\u2019s health.<\/p>\n<p>What he was asking Harris was why it is that \u200cDemocratic donors, the money behind\u2063 the political machine that\u2019s destroying \u2062the \u2062American political system, aren\u2019t\u2062 at all sure that the vice president is the heir apparent in the event that Biden \u200bdoesn\u2019t seek \u200bre-election in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were talking to \u200bsome Democratic donors,\u2062 and they \u2063have told us\u2063 that, should something befall President Biden and he is not able to run, that there\u200d would\u2063 be a free-for-all for\u2063 who would run as president,\u201d Whitaker said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are in the spot that that would be a natural for you to step up. But we\u2019re hearing from donors\u2064 that they would not naturally fall into line. Why is that?\u201d he\u200d asked.<\/p>\n<p>It was couched in\u2062 the kind of kid-glove treatment \u201c60\u2064 Minutes\u201d \u200bhas\u200c given \u2062the\u200d Biden\u200d administration, but \u200bthe thrust of the question was, \u201cwhy \u200bdoesn\u2019t anyone who matters think you\u2019re qualified to run in Biden\u2019s place?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harris could have answered that in any\u2063 number of ways without giving the impression she was waiting for the\u200d president \u2064to\u200c pitch over. \u200dThe fact that she\u2063 didn\u2019t seemed beyond strange.<\/p>\n<p>She could \u200chave easily \u200dsaid something like, \u201cI don\u2019t know who you\u2019re talking to, but as a vice president\u2064 who\u2019s been a key part of this administration from the beginning, I\u2019m sure \u2063Democrats know where to turn to continue working for the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That would\u2064 be \u200da lie six ways from Christmas, of course. Harris\u2062 has made \u2062a hash of pretty much every high-profile assignment she\u2019s taken \u200don.<\/p>\n<p>She was supposed to act point on the administration\u2019s efforts to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kamala-harris-has-to-assure-60-minutes-reporter-that-biden-is-alive\/\" title=\"Kamala Harris assures '60 Minutes' that Biden is 'alive'.\">pass national \u201cvoting rights\u201d\u200d laws<\/a> that were basically election-fixing schemes to combat\u200c Republican state-level efforts \u2063to guard election integrity. They \u200bran into\u2062 a Republican-led filibuster in the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>She\u200c was \u2014 famously \u2014 supposed to be in charge of getting to the \u201croot causes\u201d of illegal immigration, but \u2062she made no discernible contribution to the debate \u2063one way or the\u200d other\u2062 beyond parroting \u200bstandard Democratic claptrap.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, Biden has put her in charge of the newly created\u200d White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, an effort aimed squarely at the Second Amendment and one destined to do little more than generate yet more Democratic\u200c talking points and potentially \u200bnew regulations that will\u2063 end up being overturned in\u2063 court.<\/p>\n<p>But it would have been something.<\/p>\n<p>Instead,\u200c Harris\u2019 attempt at dodging was the most transparent kind in politics \u2014 answering a different question entirely as a way of explaining \u2062why no answer would be forthcoming.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst of all, I\u2019m not going to engage in that hypothetical because Joe Biden is very \u200dmuch alive and running for re-election,\u201d the vice president said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<p>When\u200c Whitaker persisted \u2064\u2014 mildly \u2062\u2014 she shut down the conversation\u2064 entirely.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hear from a\u2063 lot of different \u2062people a \u200clot of \u200cdifferent things,\u201d\u200c Harris\u2064 said.\u2062 \u201cBut let\u2062 me\u2062 just tell you, I\u2019m focused on\u2062 the job. I truly am. Our democracy is on\u200d the\u200c line, Bill. And I, frankly, in my head do not have time for parlor games, when we have a president who is running for re-election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u200danswer was considerably different \u2062in content and tenor from when Harris answered a similar question \u200cin September by declaring she was prepared to\u2064 step into the presidency if needed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe\u200d Biden is going\u200d to \u200cbe fine,\u200b so that is not going to\u2063 come to fruition,\u201d she said, according to The Associated \u200dPress. \u201cBut let us also understand that every vice president \u2014 every <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kamala-harris-says-she-is-ready-to-take-over-the-job-of-being-president-if-biden-needs-her-to\/\" title=\"Kamala Harris Says She Is Ready 'To Take Over the Job of Being President' if Biden Needs Her To\">vice president \u2014 understands<\/a> that when they\u2062 take\u200b the oath, they must\u2063 be very clear \u2063about \u200bthe responsibility they may have to take over the job of\u200c being president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m no \u200ddifferent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, a Kamala Harris \u200dpresidency \u200bmight be the stuff\u2063 of conservative\u200c nightmares, but at least she was relatively forthright in \u2064that answer.<\/p>\n<p>The question is why\u2062 she didn\u2019t just repeat\u2064 that sentiment to Whitaker and confidently \u2014 if dishonestly \u2014 assure him \u2062that the donors would fall in line in time.<\/p>\n<p>The most likely answer \u2064is\u200b that\u200c Team \u200bBiden didn\u2019t appreciate even the insinuation of the Harris statement from September.<\/p>\n<p>For \u2063all their talk of \u201cinclusiveness\u201d and \u201cdiversity,\u201d\u200d Democrats have a police-state\u2062 caliber suspicion of anything outside \u2062the party\u2019s talking points, and Harris acknowledging the obvious \u2014 even as a \u201chypothetical\u201d \u2014 probably earned her a rap\u200d from whatever Ministry \u2064of Truth monitor was on duty\u2063 that day.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that she used\u200d the \u2062word \u201chypothetical\u201d\u200d again in not answering Whitaker\u2019s question \u200bis \u200da pretty good indicator that she was \u200dnervous.<\/p>\n<p>More to the point, though, is that\u200c Harris\u2019 statement about Biden\u2019s life \u200dsigns is an indication\u200c that she knows\u200c exactly how much support she has\u200b in the party \u2014 and that the\u200d Biden-Harris \u201cpartnership\u201d is essentially\u200c built on mutual blackmail.<\/p>\n<p>When Biden chose Harris as his running mate, it was because he was indebted to South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn, a black Democrat, \u200dand under extreme pressure from his party\u2019s left wing to pick a black woman. Considering the ever-more-race-obsessed nature\u200c of the\u2062 Democratic Party, getting rid of her now is politically impossible. (Biden picking another\u2063 black woman would give the game \u200caway a little too obviously.)<\/p>\n<p>Harris, meanwhile, is\u200b tied to Biden. With her unpopularity, her \u200cineptitude and her \u2064fingernails-grating-chalkboard\u2064 personality, she\u2019s going nowhere on her own steam \u2014 and that answer to Whitaker \u2063shows she knows it.<\/p>\n<p>In short, she assured Whitaker that Biden \u201cis very \u2063much alive and running for re-election\u201d because she had to.<\/p>\n<p>Without Biden, she\u2019s a second-rate senator \u200bfrom California whose biggest spot in the limelight was in 2018, trying to smear then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.<\/p>\n<p>Even in a \u200dUnited States where the Democratic Party has warped\u2063 the\u200c conversation to \u2064the\u200b point where skin color\u200c and gender (not to\u2064 mention sexual behavior) have assumed \u200boutsized importance in political \u200cdiscourse, \u2062Kamala Harris knows \u2064being a black \u2063woman got her where she is.<\/p>\n<p>Being a \u200bblack woman won\u2019t get her any further, and \u2063she knows that too.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s more\u200d than she wants the rest of the country to know.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>A Note from Our Staff:<\/h3>\n<p><em><b>Did you know\u200b that 90 percent of advertisers will have \u200cnothing to do with The Western Journal? He was\u200c asking why Democratic donors, who\u2064 play a \u2064crucial role in funding the party&#8217;s political \u200bmachine, are uncertain about \u200dHarris&#8217; ability to fill Biden&#8217;s shoes in the event\u200c that\u2062 he does not seek re-election in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Whitaker \u200dstated, &#8220;We \u2064were talking to some Democratic donors, and they \u2062have told us that, \u2064should something\u200d befall President Biden and he \u200cis not able to run, that\u2063 there would be a free-for-all for\u200b who would \u200drun as president. You are in the spot that that would be a\u2063 natural for you to step up. But we\u2019re hearing \u200cfrom donors that \u2062they would not naturally fall into line. Why is that?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Although the question was presented in a mild manner, \u2062the underlying inquiry was clear: why is Harris not seen as a qualified\u200d candidate by those who matter? Harris could have \u200daddressed this concern without \u2062implying that she was waiting for President Biden&#8217;s\u200b demise. Her failure to do so was perplexing.<\/p>\n<p>For \u2063example, she could have responded \u2063by saying, &#8220;I don&#8217;t\u2062 know who you&#8217;re talking to, but as vice president\u2063 and a key figure in \u200dthis administration, I believe Democrats recognize my capability to\u200d continue serving the American people.&#8221; While \u2062this would have \u200bbeen a lie, as Harris has\u200b struggled \u2063in several high-profile\u200c assignments, \u200cit would have at least \u2062been an attempt to\u2064 seem confident in her\u2064 abilities.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her tenure, Harris\u2064 has mishandled \u2064important assignments. She was meant \u2064to take charge of\u200b the\u200c administration&#8217;s efforts to pass \u200cnational &#8220;voting\u200c rights&#8221; legislation, but these proposals were largely seen as attempts to manipulate\u200c elections and were met with resistance from \u200bRepublicans.
