This settlement aims \u2063to resolve claims \u2062that the company violated the Employee Retirement Income Security Act by mismanaging \u2063its 401(k) retirement plan.<\/p>\n<h3>What is \u200bthe Lawsuit About?<\/h3>\n<p>In May, LinkedIn agreed to pay a $6.75 million settlement\u200d to address allegations of mismanagement in its 401(k) retirement\u2064 plan. The\u200d plaintiffs,\u200c who\u2064 filed an excessive fee complaint in August 2020, \u200dargued that the company failed\u200c to\u200d use the lowest-cost\u2064 share class for many of \u2062the mutual \u200dfunds in the plan. They claimed\u2062 that LinkedIn could have saved participants millions of dollars by considering \u2062more \u2063affordable\u200b options.<\/p>\n<h3>Who is Eligible?<\/h3>\n<p>If you participated in LinkedIn&#8217;s 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan and \u2062Trust between \u200dAug. 14,\u2062 2014,\u200c and July 1, 2020, you may be eligible to participate in\u200c the\u200b settlement.<\/p>\n<h3>How Can I File a\u200b Claim?<\/h3>\n<p>If you are\u2064 an active account holder,\u200b you will receive a \u2063deposit \u200cinto your \u2063individual\u2063 investment account. Active participants do not\u2062 need to take any action. \u200cHowever, former beneficiaries and\u200b alternate\u2063 payees must file a \u200cclaim by Nov. 10.
