OPD source says \u2063she waited an hour for\u2063 police \u200cto arrive, gave\u200b up, and made\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Dan\u2063 Noyes (@dannoyes) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dannoyes\/status\/1718292147420701139?\">October 28, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Now, no decent human being wishes ill fortune to another, and being the victim of a vehicle burglary definitely comes under \u2063the heading of \u201cill fortune.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the Pamela\u2062 Price case might lead to at least a\u2064 justifiable feeling of schadenfreude.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfchronicle.com\/bayarea\/matier-ross\/article\/Billionaire-George-Soros-funding-heats-up-12947696.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">San Francisco Chronicle<\/a> report from May 2018, Price first \u2062ran \u200dfor D.A. as \u2062a \u200ccivil rights attorney who had no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/soros-funded-da-gets-a-taste-of-what-shes-created-after-leaving-90k-suv-unattended-in-oakland\/\" title=\"Soros-backed DA faces consequences for leaving K SUV unattended in Oakland.\">experience prosecuting criminal defendants<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But what she did have was the financial backing of billionaire George Soros, a man \u200dwho has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dangerous-man-america-george-soros-finally-given-perfect-title\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">devoted his huge fortune<\/a> to leftist causes, such as undermining criminal justice in the United States by funding the\u200c campaigns of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/veteran-columnist-stands-tall-attacks-calling-george-soros-role-lawlessness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">district attorneys<\/a> who have precious little interest in actually enforcing the law.<\/p>\n<p>Price <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/soros-multimillion-dollar-bid-to-swing-outcome-of-multiple-california-races-fails\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lost in 2018<\/a>, but ran again in \u200b2022 and won on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pamelaprice4da.com\/platform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">platform<\/a> of \u201caggressive steps to restore public trust in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-please-pardon-jon-woods-a-victim-of-process-crimes-like-michael-flynn\/\" title=\"President Trump, Please Pardon Jon Woods, a Victim of Process Crimes Like Michael Flynn\">criminal justice system<\/a>, ensure public safety, end \u200dmass incarceration \u200cand root\u2064 out racial, socioeconomic and gender\u200d disparities within Alameda County\u2019s criminal justice system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To a cynical\u2063 ear, the idea of a D.A. devoted to ending \u201cmass incarceration\u201d and occupying herself with \u201cracial, socioeconomic and gender disparities\u201d instead of \u2064simple law enforcement and protecting victims might sound like a recipe for introducing anarchy into a criminal justice \u2062system.<\/p>\n<p>But in staunchly Democratic Alameda County, it got Price elected\u2064 \u2014 and voters have been paying \u200bthe price since.<\/p>\n<p>According to a July report in \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/address-the-issue-oakland-residents-demand-answers-on-rising-crime-from-progressive-da-in-heated-meeting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Review<\/a> about citizen unhappiness \u2063with their D.A., violent crime in \u2062Oakland \u2063was up\u2062 15 percent compared to\u200d 2022, \u200cwhen Price was not the D.A. \u2062Property crime was up by 28 percent.<\/p>\n<p>And on Friday, it went up just a little bit more, thanks to the break-in of a vehicle used by \u200bPrice herself.<\/p>\n<p>Making\u200b the situation worse, according \u200dto KGO, Price waited \u2063for an \u200dhour\u200d for police to \u200dshow up.<\/p>\n<p>When they didn\u2019t, she \u200dreported the crime online. (That\u2019s just what every \u200cvictim of crime\u200d wants to do.)<\/p>\n<p>And plenty of social media users\u200c saw \u2062the irony.
