Metropolitan Police Department on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said the officer\u200b was\u200d sitting in his car around \u206310 p.m. waiting for his shift \u200cto begin when he was approached \u200bby \u200ctwo teenagers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey demanded the\u200c victim get out of\u200b his car, with one holding his hand\u2062 in his\u200c front waistband pocket as \u200cif he had a handgun,\u201d the MPD said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the victim was getting out of the car, he produced a handgun and\u200b shot one of\u200c the suspects. Metropolitan \u2063Police Department, you can see just how badly crime has spiraled\u200b out\u2063 of control in \u200bthe left-wing city.<\/p>\n<p>On \u2063Monday,\u200b a 16-year-old boy \u200bwas charged with <a href=\"https:\/\/mpdc.dc.gov\/release\/mpd-arrests-teen-string-carjackings-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">six carjackings<\/a> \u2014 both \u200carmed and unarmed \u2014 across the District. The \u2064suspect, Isaiah Davis,\u2063 allegedly committed all these\u2064 crimes over just two days.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate \u200dcase, a 15-year-old boy was charged on\u200d Monday in connection \u2063with <a href=\"https:\/\/mpdc.dc.gov\/release\/teen-arrested-carjackings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">four carjackings<\/a>. \u2064the anti-police Black\u200c Lives Matter movement \u2014\u200b has backtracked following a horrific crime wave unleashed by George Floyd-era \u201cpolice \u200dreforms\u201d that incentivized lawlessness.<\/p>\n<p>Tragically, the off-the-charts \u2062crime\u2063 infesting the nation\u2019s capital mirrors \u200can appalling trend\u2062 metastasizing in other blue cities, such\u2062 as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/philadelphia-influencer-challenged-police-arrest-looting-cries-hit-6-felonies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Philadelphia<\/a>, New York, San Francisco
