He\u200d pointed out\u200b that electric trucks\u200b would require massive battery packs,\u200b with a logging\u2062 truck alone\u2063 needing a three-megawatt battery pack. The weight of these batteries would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-california-teachers-union-wants-homeless-people-to-sleep-in-its-public-school-parking-lots\/\" title=\"California Teachers' Union Supports Homeless People Sleeping in School Parking Lots\">pose safety risks<\/a> on\u200c the road and accelerate road degradation.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, insurance \u200brates \u2064for electric vehicles \u200bwould \u2064skyrocket due to their vulnerability to damage. Barber also highlighted\u2062 the significant challenge of the power grid, emphasizing \u200cthat the\u2064 current \u2064infrastructure is insufficient to support the energy demands of electric\u2063 trucks.<\/p>\n<p>Despite these obstacles, Barber proposed \u200ba more practical solution:\u2064 hybrid \u200cvehicles.
