This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/here-comes-the-next-gun-grab\/\" title=\"The Next Gun Grab is Approaching\">tired\u2064 narrative blames law-abiding gun owners<\/a> \u2063for the actions of deranged individuals.<\/p>\n<p>This time, the horrifying incident took\u2063 place in Maine. On October 25, an Army\u200b reservist went on a shooting spree at\u200d a bowling alley and restaurant\u200b in Lewiston, claiming the lives of\u200b 18 innocent people.<\/p>\n<p>After an extensive manhunt, the suspect was found dead\u2063 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on October 27.<\/p>\n<p>It is clear that this individual should\u200d never have \u200cbeen allowed to legally possess a firearm.<\/p>\n<p>According to family members, he\u200b had been exhibiting concerning behavior, including hearing \u200cvoices, and had\u2064 been taken \u200din for\u200b evaluation by police\u2063 in mid-July. Maine has a &#8220;yellow flag&#8221; \u2063law that\u2062 allows family \u2063members to \u2063alert law enforcement about \u2062potential threats, but unfortunately, no action was taken in this case.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to other mass shootings\u200c in Buffalo, Dayton, and \u200bMichigan State \u200bUniversity, the perpetrators were known to law enforcement \u200bbut \u200cwere not prevented\u200c from owning firearms.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden \u200badministration has wasted\u2064 no time \u2064in calling for new bans on so-called assault weapons \u2062and high-capacity\u200c magazines. Vice \u200dPresident Kamala Harris has\u2062 been advocating\u2064 for such bans since taking office, arguing that these weapons have no place on American\u2062 streets.<\/p>\n<h3>Enforcing Existing Laws and \u200dExamining the Data<\/h3>\n<p>Before rushing to implement new\u200d gun control measures, it is crucial to \u2062enforce the laws already in place.
