This legislation was touted as a cure-all for the American health care system, promising lower costs, \u2062improved coverage, and \u200bthe ability to keep your \u200dcurrent health plan if you \u200dliked it.<\/p>\n<p>However, a recent survey conducted by \u2063the\u200c Commonwealth Fund foundation reveals a different\u200c reality. The survey, which\u200b interviewed 7,873 Americans aged 19 and older, found that health\u200d care is still \u200cunaffordable\u200c in the Affordable \u200cCare Act era. \u200bMany Americans \u200chave \u200dbecome sicker because they \u200bhave postponed necessary \u2062care due \u2064to the high costs.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Paying \u2064for It: How Health Care Costs and Medical Debt Are Making Americans Sicker and Poorer<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Approximately half of those surveyed found their health care plans \u2062difficult \u2063to pay for.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals with employer-provided or subsidized plans were less likely to\u200b complain about costs.<\/li>\n<li>57% of those with individual plans,\u2064 including those who purchased health care through Obamacare&#8217;s marketplace, found it challenging to pay for their\u2064 coverage.<\/li>\n<li>A significant number\u2062 of\u2062 respondents reported putting off or skipping care visits and needed prescriptions due to\u200b cost.<\/li>\n<li>Of those who \u2062delayed\u200c care, more than half said it made them sicker.<\/li>\n<li>Despite having coverage, about a \u200dthird of respondents incurred medical debt.<\/li>\n<li>Medical debt \u2062often \u2064led to further delays in getting needed care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The survey&#8217;s\u200c findings highlight the ongoing affordability issues in the American health care system. It aimed to provide access\u200c to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jesuits-pledge-100-million-for-slavery-reparations\/\" title=\"Jesuits Pledge 0 Million For Slavery Reparations\">affordable health care<\/a> \u200bfor all Americans, \u200clower costs, and \u2064improve the quality of \u200dcare. \u200bHowever, a recent report by the Commonwealth Fund highlights the failure of Obamacare in achieving these \u200dobjectives.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 survey conducted by the Commonwealth Fund revealed that many Americans still\u200b struggle\u2063 to afford health care, even with the implementation\u200b of Obamacare.
