Since the <em>Dobbs<\/em> \u2064 decision, Yelp added Disclaimers \u200bto CPC center review pages alerting users that the centers do not provide abortion services, even adding\u200c language like, \u201cMay not have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ratings-website-wants-to-make-sure-deceptive-pregnancy-centers-dont-steer-pregnant-people-away-from-abortion\/\" title=\"Ratings Website Wants To Make Sure \u2018Deceptive\u2019 Pregnancy Centers Don\u2019t \u2018Steer Pregnant People Away From Abortion\u2019\">licensed medical professionals onsite<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The attorneys, hiding under \u200cthe statement that Yelp\u2019s\u200d efforts \u201censure \u2064that \u2064consumers receive clear information\u201d\u200d sadly lack pursuing the same \u201cclear information\u201d for abortion facilities advertising where very real damage has been done to\u2063 countless numbers of women\u200c for more than 50 \u2064years. In fact, the AGs even go so far as to deny the personal experiences\u200d of these women.<\/p>\n<p>As\u200c a post-abortive woman and a person who has worked in ministry\u200b with other women who have experienced abortion for the past 30 years, I represent thousands who\u2063 have sought\u2063 our help with the damage of abortion, \u2064which Bonta\u2019s letter denies.<\/p>\n<p>Claiming in their letter that abortion is \u201chealth care\u201d is itself misinformation. Abortion is the destruction \u2063of a separate unique human\u2063 being, an unborn baby, a truth still\u2063 often hidden from those who go to abortion facilities. The failure to mention in their claim to \u201cprotect public health,\u201d the \u2062lies, risks, and false\u2064 information often given out by these facilities is staggering.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-c056bbf0379d45e1f8fb3a2151885e4d fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-c056bbf0379d45e1f8fb3a2151885e4d\"><\/div>\n<p>We know there are lies, and purposeful omittance of information because\u2063 many of us have\u2063 been victims of it. I was denied knowledge of the development of\u2064 my\u200c unborn son and an explanation of the procedure I \u2063went through. The experience left me traumatized \u2063for \u200dyears, yet by the standards implied by the attorneys general my \u2062experience did not\u2064 even happen.<\/p>\n<p>Crisis pregnancy centers do not claim to be health care facilities, so you must wonder why these 16 AGs feel the need \u200cto\u2062 attack them \u200don that premise. Instead,\u200b they provide \u200cmuch \u200dneeded assistance to women who choose to have their babies, something that\u2062 should \u200bbe praised and \u200dwelcomed instead of attempting to shut them down.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200cAG\u2019s letter states that \u200dCPCs offer maternity and baby supplies \u201cUsually only if pregnant individuals attend religious-based programming.\u201d\u200d This is perhaps the biggest untruth in a \u200ddocument that claims to want \u2063to eliminate\u2063 \u201cmisinformation.\u201d I am familiar with many\u200b CPCs and \u2063not one that I know of requires religious-based programming.<\/p>\n<p>It is \u200bobvious the AGs are judging CPCs \u2062on what\u200d they have decided should be their standards\u200c and \u200cpractices instead\u200d of what they actually are \u2014 places\u200b where women can \u2063hear the full truth about abortion\u2063 and how they can get\u200c the support they need to bring their\u2062 babies to term if they so choose.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-bb8168385eb602e03cced0933f8bd276 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-bb8168385eb602e03cced0933f8bd276\"><\/div>\n<p>Perhaps\u200b the most disturbing aspect of the letter\u200d was the blatant denial\u200b of the \u2062very real repercussions of abortion for\u2064 countless \u2062women:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>CPCs provide \u201cmisleading information\u201d connecting abortions to, inter alia, infertility, breast cancer, and mental illness, claiming \u201cthat abortion directly results in a fictitious condition called either \u2018post abortion syndrome\u2019 or \u200b\u2018post abortion stress&#8217;\u201d as well as \u201cgrief and regret.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As someone who assists 100 to 200 people each \u2062year suffering from abortion, this\u200b denial \u200bof what many of us have experienced shows ignorance of proven facts\u200b and a total lack of the \u200dreality of the negative \u200deffects of abortion, not to mention a complete disregard for our experiences\u2063 and\u2062 suffering we have endured.<\/p>\n<p>I am \u2062tired of having to justify \u200cmy experience \u2062because of those who have \u2063an extreme pro-abortion agenda. \u200dSome live with \u201cgrief and \u2062regret\u201d for decades, afraid to come forward because \u200cthey are told their \u2063pain does not exist. Under the guise of exposing\u2062 \u201cmisinformation\u201d \u200cthe \u200dAGs themselves are promoting misinformation. These women deserve to have their experiences legitimized.<\/p>\n<p>The AGs \u200ccan reject the fact that abortion can cause infertility in some women and mental suffering, and they can call \u201cpost-abortion stress\u201d fictitious, but it is \u200cvery real to\u2064 the hundreds of people \u2064who\u2064 reach\u2063 out to us \u200devery\u2063 year in the New York area. The claim that there is no \u201cgrief and regret\u201d shows that these public figures who should be representing\u200d all\u200c people have never taken the time to speak\u2063 to the thousands of women that are part\u200b of campaigns like \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.silentnomoreawareness.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Silent No More<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.operationoutcry.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Operation Outcry<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also lacking in their letter claiming to expose \u201cmisinformation\u201d is the concern for women undergoing chemical abortions. Many have been told how easy this is and that they can end their pregnancy in the comfort of their homes only to then\u200b have to face the trauma of seeing their dead unborn child. This is\u200d something they will live\u2062 with for the rest\u2062 of\u200b their lives. Or the \u200bmiscalculations of \u2063pregnancies \u200ddue to obtaining the\u200b chemicals online (so much for a doctor and their patient)\u2064 only to find your child\u200c much more developed than \u2063you were led \u2064to believe.<\/p>\n<p>These \u200cAGs can claim they are protecting women, but more and more of us are learning the truth not from words like theirs but sadly through our own experiences. Try as they might, they \u2063cannot hide what\u2062 we know to be true.<\/p>\n<p>Lawmakers should be more concerned \u2062with the\u200d misinformation \u2063in\u200b the abortion facilities that\u2062 actually kill the unborn and very often\u2062 harm women, mentally \u2062and physically, than \u200cthe CPCs that\u200c aid pregnant moms\u2062 in need.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-913e7ef30dd2e34f688400bb464df237 fdrlst__b89e9-after-post-content\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-913e7ef30dd2e34f688400bb464df237\"><\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<\/div>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> \u200d How do \u200battorneys general&#8217;s efforts to label crisis \u200cpregnancy centers as sources \u2063of &#8220;misinformation and harm&#8221; silence the voices of post-abortive women?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  On by denying the very real struggles of post-abortive women.<\/p>\n<p>It is clear that these attorneys general have an\u2063 agenda, and it is not one that supports the well-being\u200b of women. By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/this-is-insane-tucker-loesch-sound-off-on-nbc-promoting-sterilization\/\" title=\"\u2018This Is Insane\u2019: Tucker, Loesch Sound Off On NBC Promoting Sterilization\">attacking crisis pregnancy centers<\/a> and labeling them as sources of &#8220;misinformation and harm,&#8221; they \u200care attempting to silence the \u200bvoices of women\u2062 who \u2064have chosen life for their babies and sought \u2063support from these\u200b centers.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of\u2062 recognizing the valuable services that \u200bcrisis\u2064 pregnancy centers provide, such as maternity and baby supplies, counseling, and education on alternatives to\u2063 abortion, the attorneys\u200c general\u2063 choose to focus \u200don false narratives \u2064and baseless accusations.\u2063 They claim\u2063 that CPCs offer these \u2063services only if\u2062 individuals attend religious-based programming, despite the fact that \u2062many \u2063CPCs,\u2064 including\u200d those I am familiar with, do not require any\u2064 religious affiliation.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, \u2064the attorneys general conveniently ignore the misleading\u200d information\u2063 that is\u200d often provided \u2063by abortion\u2064 facilities.\u200d They fail to acknowledge the risks and potential\u200b complications of \u200cabortion \u2063procedures, \u200das\u200c well as the emotional and psychological toll it can take on women. Instead, they choose to dismiss the experiences of post-abortive women and deny the existence \u200cof post-abortion syndrome or stress.<\/p>\n<p>As \u2063someone \u2062who \u2062has personally witnessed the devastating effects of abortion\u2063 on women&#8217;s lives, I \u200cfind it extremely disheartening that these attorneys general\u200b would deny our experiences\u2062 and promote misinformation.
