Have any of them ever \u200cloaded the blood-soaked bodies of his wounded and killed \u200donto a medivac helicopter\u200d and then endured sleepless nights thinking about\u200c the visits their families are\u2064 about to get and the ensuing destruction \u200bof their lives and \u2064dreams?<\/p>\n<p>These were the first questions that popped into my mind when I saw the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/10\/25\/biden-ukraine-aid-messaging-00123466\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report from\u200b Politico<\/a> that the Biden \u200badministration is promoting the war in Ukraine because it is \u200cgood for American business. \u2063I think the members of the administration could not have experienced these things because, if\u2062 they had, \u200b <em>and<\/em> \u2062if they had\u2062 one ounce of humanity in them, they could \u200cnot\u200b possibly have \u2062promoted war on the \u201cit\u2019s good for business\u201d rationale.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, multiple\u2062 White House aides have been involved in this\u2063 abomination\u2064 because Politico is quite specific:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The White \u2064House has been quietly urging lawmakers in both parties to sell the\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sen-rand-paul-senate-just-rejected-my-attempt-to-reaffirm-constitution\/\" title=\"Sen. Rand Paul: \u2018Senate Just Rejected My Attempt to Reaffirm Constitution\u2019\">war efforts abroad<\/a> as a potential economic boom \u200bat home.<\/p>\n<p>Aides have been distributing\u200b talking points to Democrats and Republicans who have been\u200b supportive of continued efforts\u200b to fund Ukraine\u2019s resistance to make the case \u200dthat doing so is good for\u200d American jobs, according to five White \u200bHouse\u200c aides and lawmakers familiar with\u2062 the effort and granted anonymity to speak freely.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Biden\u2062 administration is\u200b fearful\u200d that it cannot sell its most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-could-send-special-forces-to-ukraine-to-protect-embassy\/\" title=\"U.S. Could Send Special Forces To Ukraine To Protect Embassy\">recent aid package<\/a> on \u200cthe \u200bmerits and on national security\u200b grounds, because &#8220;The \u2063talking points are an implicit recognition that the administration has work to do \u2063in selling its\u200b $106 billion \u200bforeign aid \u200csupplemental request \u2014 and that talking about it squarely under the umbrella of national security interests hasn\u2019t done the trick,&#8221; Politico \u2064states.<\/p>\n<p>The reprehensibility of\u2064 these comments\u2063 cannot be overstated. Biden\u2019s administration is peopled with a number of \u2062&#8221;elites&#8221; who probably are familiar, at \u200cleast\u200c in a theoretical, intellectual sense, with John Stuart Mill\u2019s dictum, &#8220;War\u2064 is \u200ban ugly thing.&#8221; But, hey,\u200d if it\u2019s \u2062good\u2064 for business, particularly in electoral swing\u2063 states, \u2062let\u2019s \u200bgo for it.<\/p>\n<p>I am old enough to \u2064remember \u200dhow the left tarred George\u200d Bush, Dick Cheney, \u200band others in the GOP with\u200d the argument \u2062that they wanted war because it\u2064 was good for their\u2062 supporters in big business. I never put any stock in these\u200c arguments because I thought no American could be so evil as to support \u2062war as a sop \u2062to big business. The Biden \u2064administration has changed \u200cmy\u200b mind.<\/p>\n<p>My contempt and revulsion for these people knows no bounds.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>John Lucas\u200b is a practicing attorney\u200b who \u2063has\u200d tried and\u200d argued a variety of cases, including before the U. \u2062S. Supreme Court. It appears \u2064that the \u2062administration is more \u200dfocused on\u2064 economic interests rather than the lives and well-being of American soldiers and the \u2064people of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>War should never \u2063be seen as a business\u200d opportunity or a means to boost the\u200d economy. It is a \u200dtragic event that results in the loss of\u200d precious lives, destruction of communities,\u200d and widespread\u200d suffering. The decision to promote war for economic gain\u2063 reflects a disturbing \u2062shift in priorities and a lack of moral compass.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, using \u2064taxpayer money to fund wars abroad in the name of economic benefits raises questions about the administration&#8217;s accountability and transparency. The American \u2063people have the right to know how\u200c their tax dollars\u2063 are\u2062 being used and whether it aligns with their values and interests.<\/p>\n<p>This\u2062 revelation also casts doubt on the sincerity of the \u200dadministration&#8217;s claims of supporting Ukraine&#8217;s resistance. If the primary motive for providing aid is economic\u200c gain,\u200b then it raises questions\u2063 about the administration&#8217;s true intentions and commitment \u2062to promoting peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden\u2062 \u2063administration must account for \u2062its actions and provide\u2064 a clear explanation for why it is promoting war in Ukraine. The American people deserve honesty and transparency from their leaders, especially when it\u200d comes to matters of war and national\u200d security.<\/p>\n<p>It \u200dis\u2064 imperative that we hold \u200dour government \u2063accountable and demand a foreign policy that prioritizes\u2063 human\u200b lives and global peace over economic gains.
