But then it falls apart:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cYet with Gazans\u200c facing a humanitarian catastrophe, Hamas\u2019s \u200cstockpiles raise questions about what\u2063 responsibility, if any, \u200dit has to the \u2062civilian population,\u201d the article stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>To a normal \u200chuman being, the answer to \u2064that question is self-evident. Hamas is \u2064the government of Gaza, thanks to a 2006 election that \u2062remains the high point of the group\u2019s democratic history. (It\u2019s actually the <em>only<\/em> \u2063point in the\u2064 group\u2019s history, since that was the territory\u2019s one and only election. Islamist fanatics aren\u2019t real big\u200d on retail politics.)<\/p>\n<p>But at the Times, it\u2019s a mystery. And one the article doesn\u2019t even try to answer.<\/p>\n<p>However, it does describe how Hamas has plenty of fuel for its weapons,\u200d electricity to ventilate and \u200dlight the massive tunnel complex \u200dit\u2019s built.<\/p>\n<p>And as far as fuel \u200bfor humans?<\/p>\n<p>Samir Gattas, \u2063described by the Times as \u201can Egyptian strategic analyst who closely monitors Gaza,\u201d \u2063put the matter bluntly: \u201cThe Hamas movement cares only about the Hamas movement,\u201d he\u200c told the Times. \u201cThe\u200d public of Gaza mean absolutely \u2062nothing \u200cfor Hamas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/16-members-congress-refuse-vote-condemning-hamas-attack-names\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">American liberals<\/a> \u200c \u2014\u2064 \u201csquad\u201d members like Reps. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-aoc-argues-us-stop-israels-ethnic-cleansing-protect-human-rights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hamas-releases-statement-ilhan-omar-terror-group-highly-appreciates-stance-palestine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ilhan Omar<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rashida-tlaib-shamelessly-triples-hamas-hospital-claims-demands-independent-international-action\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rashida Tlaib<\/a>, it\u2019s \u2062the Israeli Defense Forces that are guilty of\u200d \u201cwar crimes\u201d \u2014\u2062 whether it\u2019s the myth of a hospital destroyed by an IDF airstrike (It was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ilhan-omar-roasted-attempt-walk-back-israel-hospital-accusation-makes-things-even-worse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hamas missile that \u200cmisfired<\/a> and exploded in the hospital\u2019s\u200c parking\u2063 lot) or the hardships Gaza\u2019s civilians are incurring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all know collective punishment\u200c of millions\u200c of Palestinians\u200d is a war\u2062 crime. No one can deny that,\u201d Tlaib, a Michigan Democrat, said Oct.\u2062 16 while introducing a \u2064resolution\u200d in Congress calling for a cease-fire in the \u200cIsrael-Hamas war, according to the\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detroitnews.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2023\/10\/16\/tlaib-co-leads-measure-calling-for-ceasefire-in-israel-gaza\/71206926007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Detroit News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The problem with Tlaib\u2019s reasoning \u2063is\u200b that\u2062 the Gazan suffering is not caused by a war crime in answer to a war crime. It\u2019s caused by war criminals\u2063 in Hamas \u2014 who \u200bhorrified the world with their barbarous attack on Israel on Oct. 7 \u2014 inflicting\u2064 another war\u200b crime on their own population.<\/p>\n<p>At \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commentary.org\/seth-mandel\/anti-israel-lies-will-ramp-up-with-the-ground-war\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Commentary<\/a> magazine on Friday, senior editor Seth Mandel made the point that Hamas\u200d hoarding fuel for\u2063 its fight is crippling the ability of \u2064Gazans to get water, because much of the territory\u2019s\u2062 water comes from\u200d desalination operations using \u200bwater from \u2063the Mediterranean Sea.<\/p>\n<p>That requires electricity, of course, which requires gas, which Hamas has other uses\u2062 for. Desalination of seawater means life. Hamas \u200cprefers to deal in death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis \u2063is a recipe for a humanitarian crisis \u2063created by Hamas. And as that crisis deepens, \u200bHamas will simply let its people die. \u200dAnd despite knowing all this, media and \u2064activists and politicians will blame Israel,\u201d Mandel wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Liberals might not be listening. However, it also points out that Hamas has abundant\u2064 resources, including\u200c fuel, ammunition, explosives, and stockpiles \u2062of food, water, and medicine. This sentiment is echoed by \u2064other sources, exposing the reality that Hamas prioritizes its own agenda\u2062 over the needs of its citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, \u200cAmerican liberals, particularly members of the\u200b &#8220;squad&#8221; like \u200dAlexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan \u2063Omar, and Rashida Tlaib, constantly \u2062condemn Israel \u2063and support Hamas. They accuse the Israeli \u200bDefense Forces of \u200cwar crimes, despite evidence to \u200dthe contrary. These politicians perpetuate myths and misinformation, further fueling the \u2062negative portrayal\u200b of Israel\u200b while ignoring\u200c Hamas&#8217;s responsibility for the \u2062suffering of the civilian population.<\/p>\n<p>In\u2064 conclusion, the New York\u2064 Times article sheds light\u200d on the dire situation in Gaza and Hamas&#8217;s role in exacerbating the \u2062crisis.\u2062 While \u2064the report briefly acknowledges the\u200b truth, it\u2062 ultimately fails \u2063to provide any meaningful analysis\u200d or solution to\u2063 the problem. \u2064It \u200cis concerning that some American politicians, particularly those in\u200d the &#8220;squad,&#8221; choose to ignore\u2063 the facts and support a\u2064 terrorist\u200c organization instead of advocating for the \u200dwell-being of \u2062the civilian population.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On occasion, The New York Times reveals the truth despite its attempts to manipulate it.
