He \u2064sent a\u200d text to his father that read: &#8220;It&#8217;s a Trump \u200bthing I&#8217;m here for the \u200briots when they say he isn&#8217;t the winner, lol.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Clark was among the first to\u2064 enter the \u200cU.S. Capitol building during the riot. He was seen on video surveillance walking down the hallway holding a 2&#215;4 wooden plank before hitting a police officer with it, forcing the officer to \u2063retreat in visible pain.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>&#8220;Clark later joined a crowd of rioters, pointed \u2064at police, and threatened them.\u2062 The mob \u2062forced the police \u200bto retreat, and Clark proceeded deeper \u200binto the building,&#8221; the DOJ stated in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-dc\/pr\/colorado-man-sentenced-felony-and-misdemeanor-charges-actions-during-jan-6-capitol\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press \u200crelease.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Mr. Clark\u200c spent nearly 40 minutes in the Capitol building before leaving. He continued to brag about <strong>&#8220;his unlawful escapade&#8221;<\/strong> through text messages, even sending pictures and saying: <strong>&#8220;We took the\u200d whole thing. They had \u200cto evacuate,&#8221;<\/strong> the DOJ stated.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>Mr. Clark later wrote of \u200bhis actions\u200d on \u2063Jan. 6 to a friend, \u2063stating, <strong>&#8220;We do it every day \u200bthey try to vote.&#8221;<\/strong> He was eventually arrested \u2062by the\u200c FBI on Apr. 21, 2021, in \u2062Colorado\u2063 Springs.<\/p>\n<h2>Oregon\u2062 Man Sentenced\u2062 to Over 3 Years in Prison<\/h2>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-dc\/pr\/oregon-man-sentenced-felony-and-misdemeanor-charges-actions-during-jan-6-capitol-breach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">separate\u200c case<\/a>, a 43-year-old man \u200bfrom\u2064 Oregon was sentenced to 41 months in \u2063prison and 36 months of supervised release for assaulting law enforcement and climbing on presidential statues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Richard L. Harris was \u2063convicted of five felonies \u2063and six misdemeanor offenses.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents, Mr. Harris climbed on at least five different statues, \u200bincluding a statue of President Gerald \u200bR.
