That\u2019s a dumb question\u2064 that\u2063 forgets two things:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Physiologically, there\u200b is a significant difference \u200dbetween a 19-year-old boy and a 28-year-old\u2062 man.<\/li>\n<li>Even the\u200b worst NFL team is\u200b effectively a \u2062collegiate all-star team.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>All things being equal, the winner of such a \u200bhypothetical match-up is a boring debate not \u200dworth delving into.<\/p>\n<p>But what if things\u200b weren\u2019t \u2063equal?<\/p>\n<p>For instance, \u2063what \u2064would happen if the WNBA champions (currently the Las Vegas Aces, who just beat the New York\u200b Liberty in the\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/wnba-team-players-fined-thousands-tantrum-championship-loss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WNBA Finals<\/a>) squared \u2063off with a high school \u2063boys \u2064state championship\u2062 team?<\/p>\n<p>That question is one \u2062that conservative sports pundit Clay Travis wants to get to the bottom \u200bof.<\/p>\n<p>Back\u2062 in \u200cFebruary, Travis\u2062 turned heads when he posited\u2062 that\u200b \u201ca <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wnba-champions-vs-good-high-school-boys-team-who-wins-1-million-challenge-thrown-down\/\" title=\"WNBA Champs vs. Talented HS Boys: Who Wins? M Challenge Accepted!\">good \u200cstate\u2064 championship-level boys high school team<\/a> would absolutely\u2062 smoke the WNBA \u2063champions.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cA good state championship level boys \u200chigh school team would absolutely SMOKE\u2062 the WNBA champions\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blue check marks are losing their minds\u200d over <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ClayTravis?\">@ClayTravis<\/a> \u2062saying the WNBA sucks! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1MqsPabEcB\">pic.twitter.com\/1MqsPabEcB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 OutKick (@Outkick) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Outkick\/status\/1621293638310559744?\">February\u2063 2, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Travis did offer the caveat that schools\u2064 in smaller states may not be able to field \u2062comparable talent due to lack of population.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut for \u2063the 25 largest\u200b states in \u2062America, every single one of those states has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-recruit-football-royalty-arch-manning-announces-college-choice\/\" title=\"Top Recruit, Football Royalty Arch Manning Announces College Choice\">state champion boys basketball team<\/a> that would \u200bobliterate \u200dthe WNBA \u200bchampion in\u200c a game,\u201d Travis said.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Travis\u2019 comments started making the rounds again\u200c thanks to a post from the X \u200baccount Hoop Herald.<\/p>\n<p>That post drew the\u200b attention\u200c of three-time WNBA champion and Aces\u2064 guard Chelsea Gray, who <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cgray209\/status\/1717369175277277188\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">responded<\/a> by\u2063 simply \u2062calling Travis a \u201cdumba**.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The outspoken Travis clearly wasn\u2019t going to let that\u2062 go and actually\u2063 doubled \u200ddown by \u2064offering up\u2062 his own\u2063 cold\u2062 hard cash.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll\u2062 put\u2063 a million \u200cdollars on the line, your WNBA \u200cchampion team against a \u20632024 high school boy\u2019s state\u2064 champion team of my\u2064 choice,\u201d\u2062 Travis said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou guys\u200b win, you get a million\u200c bucks of my money, my \u200cteam wins, you all pay\u2063 me a million\u2062 and I give it all to the boy\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/first-transgender-cricketer-set-to-represent-canada\/\" title=\"Canada's first transgender cricketer to represent the nation.\">high \u200cschool team<\/a>.
