Jamaal\u2064 Bowman\u200d of\u2064 New York for his fire alarm \u2062stunt \u2063on\u2064 Capitol \u2063Hill has become \u200ba subject of ridicule for Republican \u200bRep. Byron Donalds \u2063of Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Bowman,\u200c who pleaded guilty \u200cto falsely pulling a fire alarm, will pay \u2064a $1,000 fine and write a letter of apology, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/10\/26\/news\/bowman-surrenders-himself-to-police-pleads-guilty-over-fire-alarm-snafu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a video posted \u2062on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/zuckerbergs-attempt-to-take-down-musks-twitter-is-tanking-further-and-further-each-day-data-shows\/\" title=\"Zuckerberg's bid to defeat Musk on Twitter is failing more each day, data reveals.\">social \u2063media platform<\/a> X, Donalds expressed \u2063his disbelief at the punishment, saying, &#8220;What was it? A misdemeanor? He has \u200cto \u200bpay a fine? Is \u200dthat what happened?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When\u2064 informed about the \u200bletter of apology \u200dBowman \u200bhas to write to\u200b the Capitol Police, Donalds sarcastically remarked,\u200d &#8220;What, are we in seventh grade?&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Congressman <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ByronDonalds?\">@ByronDonalds<\/a> \u200b destroys\u200b the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FakeNews?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FakeNews<\/a> media and exposes the two standards of justice when asked about congressman Bowman pulling the fire alarm, and the stolen 2020 election, \u2064then answers my question on the border security.<\/p>\n<p>This is a great example of how bias the\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DnwSQo8xSL\">pic.twitter.com\/DnwSQo8xSL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ben Bergquam \u200d\u2013 Real America\u2019s Voice (RAV-TV) News (@BenBergquam) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BenBergquam\/status\/1717946523881718068?\">October 27, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Donalds further criticized\u2064 the uneven punishments for disrupting Congress, comparing it to \u200bthe events of \u2062January 6th. He questioned why some individuals involved in the Capitol incursion received longer sentences while Bowman \u2064only had to write\u2064 a letter.<\/p>\n<p>Donalds expressed\u200c his concerns about \u200bthe justice system\u200b in the District of Columbia, suggesting that it operates \u200cdifferently based on political party affiliations.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the vote \u2064to\u2062 certify the 2020 election, \u200dDonalds emphasized that members of Congress are elected to\u2062 represent their constituents and\u2063 have the right \u2064to vote as they choose.
