Vance (R-OH) recently voiced ⁤his disapproval of newly elected House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) position⁢ on Ukraine. Johnson made⁤ a ‌strong statement in support‍ of Ukraine and against Russian‍ President Vladimir Putin during an appearance on Hannity. And it would ‍probably encourage and empower China to perhaps make a move on Taiwan,” Johnson emphasized ⁢during the ⁣television interview.‍ “We’re not going to abandon ⁢them.”

Vance took to X, ‍formerly known as Twitter,⁤ the following day to respond to‍ Johnson’s statement.

“To his great credit, the ⁢new speaker has been a stalwart on the Ukraine issue —‌ voting consistently against an⁤ endless conflict with no plan from the Biden administration,” Vance posted. “It’s concerning to see him change his tune so quickly after⁤ being elevated to this role.”

It is worth noting that Johnson’s voting record on foreign aid has earned him‌ a grade of “F” from Republicans for Ukraine. However, his stance on the ⁣matter has ⁢been inconsistent over time.

Johnson’s journey to becoming speaker was not without obstacles. He ⁣was the fourth nominee‌ for the position, but only ⁤the second to make it to an‌ election. After eight Republicans joined forces with⁢ Democrats to remove former‌ Speaker Kevin McCarthy ‍(R-CA), Johnson ultimately secured the position. Notably, this marks the first time a representative from Louisiana has held‍ the ‍role of‍ House Speaker.

For more information, click here ‍to read the full⁤ article from The Washington Examiner.

What are some important skills that individuals ‌need to develop in order to become effective writers

Ing is the act of putting thoughts and ideas into written form.
