Maybe it was trying to play damage control\u2064 before \u2064more objective news outlets caught on \u2014\u200b the old \u201cthrow water on the\u200b firewood \u2062before it meets the match.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The best-laid plans. No matter the strategy behind the move, CNN lit a fire \u2014 the light of which casts the minority leader and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/190-house-democrats-vote-allow-gas-vehicle-bans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">House Democrats<\/a> \u200c in a bad light.<\/p>\n<p>Jeffries was an executive board member of Binghamton\u2019s \u2063Black Student Union, which had invited \u200chis uncle, \u00a0City College of New \u2063York black studies professor Leonard Jeffries, to speak on campus. \u2063The\u200c elder Jeffires\u200d eventually \u2062got canned from \u2064his job for\u200c anti-Semitic \u2063remarks, according to CNN.<\/p>\n<p>In the editorial, Jeffries defended both his uncle and Louis Farrakhan, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hamas-leader-explains-reasoning-behind-deadly-prisoner-captures-underway-israel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nation of Islam leader<\/a> who made a career out \u2062of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/resources\/backgrounder\/farrakhan-his-own-words\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bashing Jews<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you think that a ruling elite would promote individuals \u2064who would \u2064seek \u2063to dismantle their vice-like grip on power?\u201d the young Jeffries wrote, decrying \u200dattacks \u200don them by the \u201cwhite media\u201d and \u201cwhite power \u2062structure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jeffries \u2064was just getting started.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDr.\u2062 Leonard Jeffries and Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/suspect-behind-capitol-attack-identified-follower-extremist-louis-farrakhan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Louis Farrakhan<\/a> have come under intense fire,\u201d he continued. \u201cWhere do you think their interests lie? Dr. Jeffries has challenged the\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jeffries-op-ed-defending-anti-semites-comes-back-to-haunt-dems-who-voted-for-him\/\" title=\"Jeffries' defense of anti-Semites haunts Dems who supported him.\">existing white supremist educational\u200d system<\/a> and long standing distortion of history. His reward\u2064 has been a media lynching complete with\u200b character \u2063assassinations and inflammatory erroneous accusations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It sounds like Jeffries was \u200cpracticing for a future\u200c position in a neo-Marxist organization such as\u2062 Black Lives Matter. He outdid himself when he became a congressional \u200cleader.<\/p>\n<p>The tone of the 1992\u2062 opinion piece speaks volumes. The nonsensical leftist rhetoric of today \u2014\u2062 BLM, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/principal-commits-suicide-dei-consultants-get-hold-family-friends-left-reeling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diversity, equity \u200dand inclusion,<\/a> \u201canti-racism\u201d \u2014 was\u2062 gestating \u2063decades earlier in\u2063 the minds of lefties like Jeffries.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gaetz-hakeem-jeffries-not-really-charge-democrats-just-frontman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jeffries<\/a> may be a lot of things, but he\u2019s \u2063not stupid. He has tried \u2062to distance himself from his uncle\u2019s views for years, according to CNN.\u00a0 \u201cJeffries has said he had \u200donly a \u2018vague\u2063 recollection\u2019 of the controversy, saying he couldn\u2019t even recall coverage of\u200d it in the local press,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n<p>Right. \u2063His\u200b attempted excuse doesn\u2019t meet the\u2062 bar of \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bobulinski-bombshell-biden-brother-said-joe-got-away-using-plausible-deniability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plausible deniability<\/a> \u2014 not with that opinion \u2062piece\u200c staring him in the face.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats in Congress were well aware\u200c of this before voting unanimously for Jeffries for speaker of the House\u200b this week. What gives? I thought Democrats hated racists and\u200c anti-Semites. \u2063Why are they voting for a demonstrated racist \u2062and \u200cdefender of anti-Semites for \u2064speaker of\u2064 the House?<\/p>\n<p>Maybe it\u2019s because they behave like hypnotized insects keyed in on \u2064nothing but the drone of \u2062their master.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Jeffries wasn\u2019t out to offend only Jews and \u200bwhite men in his editorial. His primary aim was at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/republican-lt-gov-winsome-sears-virginia-eviscerates-democratic-party-hatred-black-conservatives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">black conservatives<\/a>, whom he likened to \u201cHouse Negroes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the\u2062 period of African enslavement, our ancestors were given the duality of the Field Negro \u2063and the House Negro,\u201d he wrote.\u2062 \u201cThe Field Negro labored from dawn \u2062\u2018till dusk, had nothing but contempt for his white master, and most importantly, the majority \u200cof \u200bBlack slaves, who were Field Negroes. In contemporary \u2064terms, what we would refer to\u2063 as \u2018the\u200d masses.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/680545697\/Jeffries-Opinion-Piece#from_embed\">Jeffries Opinion Piece<\/a> by \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/user\/480928840\/The-Western-Journal#from_embed\">The Western \u200cJournal<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe House Negroes didn\u2019t labor in the field, they were domestic servants. The House \u2063Negro\u200d was dressed up\u2062 and\u200d was led to believe \u2064that he or she was better than\u2064 those in the field.\u2062 Most importantly,\u200d the House Negro sought to emulate the white master. This emulation was not designed with\u2062 the \u200cinterests\u200b of \u200dthe masses at heart. Rather, the motivating \u2063force was personal gain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after Jeffries\u2019 editorial was published, his uncle came to campus and delivered a speech.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Binghamton paper, the Press &#038; Sun-Bulletin,\u200d Leonard Jeffries spent\u200c much of his \u2064time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newspapers.com\/article\/press-and-sun-bulletin-jeffries-speech\/122376535\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attempting to fend\u2064 off charges<\/a> of\u200d anti-Semitism \u2014 \u200dwhile comparing the \u2062Jewish \u2063opposition to \u2064his \u2064speech to\u200d Nazism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s ironic \u2063that members of the Jewish community felt compelled to take\u200d a position \u2063that is antidemocratic and \u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trudeau-zelenskyy-lead-parliament-standing-ovation-waffen-ss-soldier\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pro-Nazi<\/a> in its \u200cviciousness,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>You might be inclined to give \u200cHakeem \u2063Jeffries a pass for defending his uncle \u2014 but what about\u200d Farrakhan?<\/p>\n<p>In the \u200b1980s, the Nation of Islam leader \u200bcame under \u2063fire for repeatedly praising Adolf Hitler as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/1984\/07\/17\/us\/farrakhan-again-describes-hitler-as-a-very-great-man.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a great\u200b man<\/a>\u201d and calling Judaism a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/1984\/06\/29\/us\/tape-contradicts-disavowalof-gutter-religion-attack.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gutter religion<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\" class=\"one-half\">\n<div class=\"firefly-poll-question\">Should Jeffries be expelled for his comments?<\/div>\n<div id=\"pollFormBox\" style=\"display: none\">\n\t\t<label>Yes<\/label><br \/>\n\t\t<label>No<\/label><br \/>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-poll-disclaimer\">\n<p>\t\tCompleting this poll entitles you to The Western\u2063 Journal news updates free of charge via email. While \u200dthey claim\u200b to champion diversity and \u200cequality, \u200ctheir actions speak\u2062 louder \u2063than words. They are willing to turn a \u200dblind eye to racism and anti-Semitism as\u200c long as\u2062 it serves their political interests.<\/p>\n<p>The American people deserve better than politicians who prioritize their own agendas over principles \u2064and\u2064 values. It is our duty to hold our \u2063elected officials accountable and demand better representation.<\/p>\n<p>Whether or not\u200d this revelation will have lasting\u2062 consequences\u200b for\u2064 Jeffries remains to be seen.
