She then added that she would \u201cbless both,\u201d\u200b \u201chonor both\u201d and do everything possible to \u201cstand and defend them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fang thanked Boebert, walked away and appeared to raise his eyebrows\u200c at the camera.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the journalist caught up with Rep. Tim\u2063 Burchett of Tennessee. This\u200c led \u2063to\u200d a somewhat longer exchange.<\/p>\n<p>While not overtly partisan, Fang did ask Burchett about possible \u201creligious extremism\u201d behind U.S. support for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-israeli-troops-tanks-enter-gaza-prepare-battlefield\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t label the Baptist or the evangelical community as extreme because I believe \u2014 I feel like they\u2019re following the Scripture and what \u200dthe Scripture says about Israel: those who bless Israel will be blessed. \u2064I mean, they take it\u2063 literal, and I\u2019m one of those people,\u201d Burchett replied.<\/p>\n<p>As \u200bhe\u2062 had done with\u2063 Sessions, Fang then asked \u2063Burchett about \u200cBiblical prophecies of Christ\u2019s Second\u2064 Coming.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/glory-jesus-lord-savior-nfl-star-says-game-career-powers-team-upset-win\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jesus<\/a> \u200dwill come back. And I\u2019m gonna be on His \u200bside,\u201d \u2064Burchett said.<\/p>\n<p>On the social media platform\u2062 X, Fang accurately noted that the Biblical context \u201cseparates Israel-Palestine from a lot of other geopolitical concerns.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I talked\u2064 previously to several lawmakers in Congress who explained that devotion \u200cto Israel \u2014 including U.S. weapons and money \u2014 is part \u2064of their religious belief, grounded in the Bible. Should the Congress have any say in this?\u201d Fang \u200casked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo. The Congress should provide whatever the president asks for,\u201d Clyburn replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnything? What if the president\u2019s \u2063wrong?\u201d Fang shot back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhatever\u2063 the president asks for. He is not a serious person.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans\u2019 support for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fact-check-israel-colonized-apartheid-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel<\/a> on Biblical \u200dgrounds, however, constitutes the most important aspect of this story. In fact, \u2064it should remind Americans\u2063 and indeed, all Westerners, of their true heritage.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200dour philosophies of government,\u200c for\u2063 instance, Americans have drawn liberally from ancient Greece and \u200bRome, as well as early modern England. The American Founders, in any case,\u2064 most certainly did.<\/p>\n<p>While borrowing from Plato \u200cand Cicero,\u200c however, our ancestors left\u200c the pagan gods alone.
