But the hospital news cycle hasn\u2019t been \u2062the only example from media coverage of the aftermath of Hamas\u2019 terror attack on Israel to drive \u200dthat lesson \u2063home.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1975956674\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-6a050b8835fe0e236b2ca71cd98fdade fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-6a050b8835fe0e236b2ca71cd98fdade\"><\/div>\n<p>Starting with \u2014\u200b but extending far beyond \u2014 \u2063the hospital story disaster, here \u2064are seven\u200b failures from\u2063 the past few\u2063 weeks that\u2063 should dispel any benefit of the doubt you have \u200dleft for the corporate media\u2019s honesty.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Running Literal Terrorist Propaganda<\/h2>\n<p>Nearly every major corporate\u2064 outlet, including\u2064 The \u2062New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, the Associated Press, Reuters, MSNBC, Politico, Axios, \u2064and The\u200d Los Angeles Times, uncritically repeated claims from a Hamas-run \u201chealth \u2064ministry\u201d \u2063blaming Israel for an explosion near a hospital in \u2062Gaza. Not only was\u2064 placing the blame on Israel a lie, so was the\u2063 pretense that\u200c the blast was a\u200b direct hit on the hospital (photos\u200c showed it actually struck the parking\u2063 lot) and the \u200cclaim that the explosion killed 500-plus\u200b people.<\/p>\n<p>As\u2062 soon \u2063as they were caught in the lie, media outlets shifted from \u2063blaming Israel outright to ambiguously\u2063 claiming that \u200cIsrael and Hamas were \u201ctrading blame\u201d for \u2062the \u2062explosion.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. NYT\u2019s Dishonest Front-Page Photo<\/h2>\n<p>As its peers ran with the Hamas propaganda memo that Israel had launched a strike on a \u2062Gazan hospital,\u2064 it \u2064wasn\u2019t enough\u200b for The New York\u200b Times to regurgitate those claims uncritically. The outlet, having \u200dno photographic evidence of a leveled hospital (because \u2064it wasn\u2019t), deceptively ran the \u200cfront-page headline \u2064with a photo of\u200b a completely unrelated demolished building in a\u200b totally different city.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-90ae3cf3a5474f2072e706b1c64212e7 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-90ae3cf3a5474f2072e706b1c64212e7\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Also of note: \u2062The headline featured\u2062 above the photo was stealth-edited at least three times, as the initially\u2063 reported narrative fell apart.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Uncritically Citing \u2064the \u2018Gaza Health Ministry\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Gaza is run by Hamas, and the region\u2019s \u201cministry of health\u201d lies to advance terrorists\u2019 propaganda \u200c\u2014 the false narrative\u200d about the \u201cIsraeli\u201d \u201cstrike\u201d that \u200ckilled \u201chundreds\u201d in a \u201chospital\u201d being \u2064just the most \u2062infamous example \u2062of recent weeks. Outlets were brutally embarrassed for\u2063 regurgitating the sham agency\u2019s lies at face value, \u200bbut that hasn\u2019t stopped many from\u2063 citing the same group uncritically since then.<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post even \u2063ran an\u2064 explainer to justify \u200b\u201cWhy \u200cnews outlets and the U.N. rely on Gaza\u2019s Health Ministry for \u200bdeath tolls,\u201d even while noting the \u2064outfit is \u200c\u201can\u2062 agency \u200cof the Hamas-controlled government\u201d and acknowledging that its reported death count from the explosion in the hospital parking lot was\u2064 double what U.S. authorities estimated. \u200bThe Post\u2019s defense of the terrorist-run \u201cministry\u201d included this incredible line:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>The Gaza Health Ministry has continued to perform \u200dits core services. Hamas received support in\u200d the 2006 elections in part\u200d by promising better social services, and some analysts say the group has improved certain areas of\u200b access.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. The \u2062Ridiculous Debate Over Whether Babies Were \u2018Beheaded\u2019 Enough<\/h2>\n<p>The same media complex\u2062 that took terrorists\u2019 \u200b\u201chealth ministry\u201d at its word refused to believe reports from the \u200dIsraeli\u200d military\u2064 and government that Hamas attackers, who decapitated civilians and burned alive\u200d whole\u2063 families \u2014 including small children \u2014 could\u200c possibly be capable\u200c of beheading babies. Despite \u200dmultiple \u2063heartbreaking reports\u200c that infants were found decapitated, media outlets worked to cast \u2064doubt on their validity.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-d7bc2136cdfe9482787eef5298198900 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-d7bc2136cdfe9482787eef5298198900\"><\/div>\n<p>The debate reached peak absurdity when Eric Levitz of New \u200bYork Magazine\u2019s Intelligencer claimed it was\u200c an\u2063 \u201coverstatement\u201d to say babies were \u201cbeheaded\u201d because babies were merely \u201cfound headless, \u200da fact that lends \u2063plausibility to claims of \u200dbeheading, but which\u200b does not prove them.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Refusing \u200dto Call Hamas \u2062\u2018Terrorists\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Iran-backed terror group\u200b Hamas descended on \u2063unarmed civilians in their\u200c homes and\u200b at peaceful gatherings, murdering, raping, torturing, decapitating, and kidnapping hundreds of victims before bragging\u2063 about their brutality \u200bon the \u2064internet. But the Associated Press, in its \u201cIsrael-Hamas Topical Guide,\u201d refuses to \u200bcall the\u200b group or\u2064 its\u200c actions \u201cterrorist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The AP acknowledges that terrorism is the \u201ccalculated use of \u200bviolence, especially against civilians, to create terror to disrupt and demoralize societies for political ends\u201d \u2014 a definition Hamas\u2019 attack that\u200b left\u2064 some 1,400 Israeli victims dead \u200cclearly meets \u2014 \u200dbut insists it \u200dwill avoid affixing the term to \u201cspecific actions or groups\u201d because the \u201cterms terrorism\u2064 and \u200cterrorist \u200dhave become \u200cpoliticized, and often are applied inconsistently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many outlets opted to follow\u200c the AP\u2019s standard, calling Hamas \u201cgunmen,\u201d \u201cfighters,\u201d and \u201cmilitants.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Employing\u200c Terrorist Sympathizers\u2062 to \u2018Report\u2019 on Terrorists<\/h2>\n<p>Issam Adwan, an AP reporter tasked with reporting on the unrest in the Gaza Strip following Hamas\u2019 unprovoked attack, is an anti-Israel activist whose \u201creporting,\u201d\u200d unsurprisingly, \u200d\u201crepeatedly buries \u2063or \u2064omits the atrocities committed \u200dagainst Israel [on Oct. 7] in favor of elevating the plea of Gaza.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adwan wrote that Israel, a country he has\u2062 smeared as an \u201capartheid\u201d participant in \u201ccolonialism,\u201d \u2063was \u201cbuilding another racist regime that is so similar\u2063 to the Nazis,\u201d in a now<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gina-carano-dropped-by-talent-agency-after-star-axed-from-disney-show-over-social-media-post\/\" title=\"Gina Carano Dropped By Talent Agency After Star Axed From Disney Show Over Social Media Post\">-deleted social media post<\/a>. He has also claimed it\u2019s \u200d\u201cignorant\u201d\u200b to bring \u2063up Hamas and \u2063its atrocities \u201cwhen we \u2064talk\u200b about Israeli \u200bwar crimes\/apartheid\/enthnic cleansing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>(Also of\u2062 note: The AP shared a building with Hamas in \u2063the Gaza\u2063 Strip until the building was destroyed in 2021.)<\/p>\n<p>Not to be outdone, \u2063The\u200d New York Times rehired \u2063a freelancer with a \u200cknown history of praising Adolf Hitler. Soliman Hijjy, who has contributed to the Times\u2019 Gaza coverage, has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/however-much-you-hate-the-media-these-7-moments-in-israel-coverage-prove-its-not-enough\/\" title=\"Despite your disdain for the media, these 7 instances of Israel coverage demonstrate that your animosity is insufficient.\">made multiple\u2062 social media posts celebrating<\/a> the Nazi dictator, but the Times defended his work as \u201cimportant\u201d and \u201cimpartial.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Turning a\u2062 Blind Eye to \u2062Hamas-Sympathizing Democrats<\/h2>\n<p>The \u2063watchdog Media Research Center\u2062 concluded that as of \u2062Oct. \u206322,\u2062 evening broadcasts \u2064on ABC, CBS, \u200cand NBC had devoted a total of zero seconds to covering the pro-Hamas sympathies of radical Democrats in Congress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMRC analysts\u200c combed through all of ABC, CBS,\u2064 and NBC\u2019s\u2062 evening newscasts from October 7 through \u200cOctober 22\u200b for any mention\u2063 of\u2064 the House Democrats\u2064 colloquially \u2062known as \u2018the Squad,&#8217;\u201d reported\u2063 Bill\u200b D\u2019Agostino. \u201cDespite \u2062dedicating\u2063 a whopping 525 minutes \u2064(nearly 9 hours) of airtime to the ongoing tumult\u200c in Gaza, none of these three networks gave even a second to any member of the \u200cprogressive cadre.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Congressional Democrats like\u200d Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan\u200c Omar, and Cori Bush have \u201cblamed Israel\u201d for the explosion by\u2064 a Gazan rocket in a \u200dhospital parking lot,\u2063 \u201ccalled for stopping aid to Israel,\u201d\u2062 \u201caccused Israel of \u2018war crimes,&#8217;\u201d and described Israel as an \u201capartheid\u201d state, D\u2019Agostino\u200c noted. Tlaib has\u2064 even refused to condemn Hamas.\u2063 Yet the broadcast networks decided these multiple Democrats\u2019\u200c vocal \u2063sympathy for a terrorist cause\u200b wasn\u2019t worth mentioning.<\/p>\n<p>However much \u200dyou distrust the corporate media,\u200c it\u2019s \u200bnot enough.
