Less than three \u200dweeks after Hamas brutally\u200b massacred 1,400 Israelis and more than two dozen\u200d Americans, President Joe\u200c Biden declared that \u201cthere is no place for hate in America.\u201d <\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s sympathies weren\u2019t directed at\u200d Jews, who \u2062have faced a rising number of antisemitic threats and attacks<\/a> in\u200c recent weeks, but at Muslims, who he worried would be affected by their association with the religion that fueled Hamas\u2019 brutal assault on Oct. 7. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs Americans, we must \u200bcome together and reject Islamophobia and all forms of bigotry \u2064and hatred,\u201d Biden wrote<\/a> in a \u2062post on X on Monday. \u201cI have said \u2062repeatedly that I \u2062will not be silent\u200b in\u200c the face of hate. We\u2063 must be unequivocal: There \u200cis no place in America for hate against anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

A few \u200chours \u2064later, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced questions from corporate media about the \u201cpotential rise of antisemitism in light of everything that\u2019s \u200bgoing in Israel.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWe \u2063have not seen any credible\u2063 threats,\u201d \u200bJean-Pierre \u200dbegan.<\/p>\n

Instead of addressing\u2062 Americans\u2019 concerns about threats towards\u200d Jews, Jean-Pierre lectured the press corps<\/a> that \u201cMuslims and those perceived to be Muslim\u2064 have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCertainly \u2062President Biden understands that many of our Muslim, \u2063Arab, Arab-American, and Palestinian-American \u200dloved \u200bones\u2063 and neighbors are\u2063 worried about \u2063the hate being directed at their communities,\u201d she continued. <\/p>\n
