Back\u2063 then we\u2019d call such actions \u201ccrimes against \u2062humanity,\u201d regardless of which side did the attacking. But \u2063today\u2019s brazen support for Hamas terrorists is \u200ban indicator that rule by terror is fast replacing the rule of law throughout the Western \u200bworld.<\/p>\n<p>Since \u20629\/11 we\u2019ve\u200b seen a strange shift in attitudes about the barbarity\u200b of such attacks, particularly on college campuses.\u200d Rather \u2064than condemning such violence, today\u2019s students are justifying it\u2063 on campuses that \u200binclude the <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/john-hasson\/2023\/10\/12\/meet-the-uva-student-leader-who-is-proud-to-stand-in-solidarity-with-hamas-n2629776\">University of Virginia<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/collinrugg\/status\/1712611928357642586\">Columbia University<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/stunned-and-sickened-wexner-foundation-cuts-ties-with-harvard-over-tiptoeing-on-hamas\/ar-AA1ijnw7\">Harvard University<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/stopantisemites\/status\/1712597161806848442\">University of\u2063 Illinois<\/a>, \u200bthe <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rubensteinadam\/status\/1712226285831799056\">University of Pennsylvania<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/arielleyael\/status\/1712229707893105035\">University \u2063of California at Los Angeles<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CollinRugg\/status\/1713008278677094734\">Stanford University<\/a>, to name a few.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-581992324\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>How did \u200bthis happen? Clearly, those students\u2063 expressing solidarity with terrorists have \u2062been groomed to do\u200c so. \u200dBut their stance is less\u200b ideological\u2062 than it \u2064is the result of a\u200d conditioning process <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Weaponization-Loneliness-Tyrants-Isolation-Silence\/dp\/1637582021\/ref=sr_1_1?crid=31B2W21HO6H78&#038;keywords=weaponization+of+loneliness&#038;qid=1666144503&#038;s=books&#038;sprefix=weaponization%2Cstripbooks%2C118&#038;sr=1-1\">tyrants have always used.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pundits galore have speculated at length about the weirdness of it all. Former Harvard President Lawrence Summers <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lhsummers\/status\/1711421307227607255\">expressed outrage<\/a> on social media when numerous student\u2062 organizations at\u200b Harvard\u2064 quickly came\u2063 out\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/john-hasson\/2023\/10\/10\/meet-the-harvard-students-supporting-hamas-invasion-of-israel-n2629626\">with a statement<\/a> saying \u200dthey \u201chold \u2064the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.\u201d But what did Summers expect? What should <em>anyone<\/em> expect \u2064these days?<\/p>\n<p>As Mike Gonzalez and J.P. Greene wrote <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/10\/13\/no-one-should-be-surprised-by-the-depraved-radicalism-on-college-campuses\/?utm_source=THF_Email&#038;utm_medium=email&#038;utm_campaign=TheAgenda\">at The Federalist<\/a>, university administrators long ago handed their \u200bkeys over to \u2062Marxists and \u200dother advocates of terror. \u200cStudents are no longer focused on gathering hard knowledge\u200b and \u2064thinking things\u200c through. The goal now is to get credentialed \u200bby \u2063any means necessary. That \u200bmeans surviving \u2014 and mimicking \u2014 the radical posturing enforced by pseudo-intellectual\u2064 tyrants on campuses today.<\/p>\n<p>For example, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/collinsfortx\/status\/1711890979798606213?s=43\">check out the programmed posing<\/a> \u2064 on the compound \u200dof George Washington University in Washington, \u200bD.C. (<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaccounts.gwu.edu\/undergraduate-tuition\">tuition $64,700<\/a> per year).\u2062 Their masked leader apparently reads his script from\u2064 his cell phone, then delivers it via his\u2064 <em>de rigueur<\/em> megaphone. But it\u2019s mostly\u2063 depressing to see students promote rule\u2063 by terror.<\/p>\n<p>So the question keeps popping up: How do such tragic absurdities happen?<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Focus on Process, Not Ideology<\/h2>\n<p>We\u200d are\u2063 missing the biggest part of \u200dthe picture if we focus only on ideology. Most commentators\u2064 presume <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/editorials\/hamas-attack-exposes-our-ideologically-captured-universities\">ideological capture<\/a> of academia got us here. Or that it\u2019s happening through <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realchrisrufo\/status\/1711435236859396448\">cultural forces<\/a> like \u201cwokeness\u201d and the\u2063 spread of <a href=\"https:\/\/christopherrufo.com\/p\/institutionalized-derangement\">mental illness<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Those explanations make sense, but they go \u2064only so far. They don\u2019t \u200caccount for the mechanisms, the patterns, and the psychological processes behind those \u2063cultural forces. Ideology serves more as a vehicle for a conditioning process\u2064 that prods\u200d students to accept \u200can agenda. So we must\u2064 first study \u2062those thought reform methods if we are ever to overcome them.<\/p>\n<p>In short, most students you see at such chant-fests have been groomed to believe they must adopt certain beliefs and behaviors to be socially accepted. This is key to understanding \u200cthe shift in attitude\u200d toward terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>We ought to \u2063pay a lot more attention to\u200b the dynamics of social status \u2014 and status\u2064 anxiety \u2014 than to the ideology per se. After\u200c all, \u200dpropagandists have\u2062 always relied on emotional manipulation to create \u2064an illusion of unanimity with their narrative. This is also a\u2064 central \u200bprinciple in advertising and fashion.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because everybody, especially youth, has \u200ca hardwired need to feel connected to\u200b others, along with an intense fear of being socially isolated. That need \u200band that \u2063fear\u200c are natural weaknesses \u2063easily manipulated by social engineers, cult leaders, and \u2063tyrants of every stripe. If people are conditioned to fear\u200b being despised and punished if they stray from the\u200c approved narrative, then most will not stray.<\/p>\n<p>The result is a conformity cascade that feeds on itself. According to recent polling, more youth than ever <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/short-reads\/2021\/08\/18\/more-americans-now-say-government-should-take-steps-to-restrict-false-information-online-than-in-2018\/\"><em>say<\/em> the government should control speech<\/a>.\u2063 More youth than ever <a href=\"https:\/\/truthout.org\/articles\/socialism-is-gaining-popularity-poll-shows\/\"><em>say<\/em> socialism\u200c is a good thing<\/a>. And now we see a big increase in youth who <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/opinion\/gallup\/472796\/young-adults-views-middle-east-changing.aspx\">say they have no\u200d sympathy for Israel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yet whenever speech is\u200b regulated so wrongthink will get\u200c you canceled, don\u2019t expect polls to give\u200d a clear reading of what people\u2063 actually\u2063 believe. For example, in oppressive North Korea, Kim \u2064Jung-Un gets (surprise!) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-asia-26483940\">100\u2064 percent approval<\/a>. As people succumb to a cultic conditioning process, they lose their moral compass and are less likely to\u200b develop their own beliefs independently.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If They Don\u2019t Fall in\u2062 Line, They\u2019re Ostracized<\/h2>\n<p>Consider what the typical college student can expect if faced with an ideological challenge. If they don\u2019t accept the given line\u200d about transgenderism, climate alarmism, and now about Hamas\u2019 terrorism as justifiable, they risk\u200c being canceled with\u200b demonizing labels such as\u200c \u201ctransphobe,\u201d \u201cclimate denier,\u201d \u2064\u201cbigot,\u201d and\u2064 worse. And if \u200cthey try to connect the dots by asking a reasonable question, they risk mockery as \u201cconspiracy theorists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, there is no logic in the context of the conditioning process. In Orwellian fashion, an object of hate can be\u2062 switched back and forth without explanation. In Orwell\u2019s\u200c <em>1984<\/em>, Oceania was at war with \u2062Eurasia, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.george-orwell.org\/1984\/16.html\">during Hate Week<\/a> it suddenly switched to being at \u2062war \u200cwith Eastasia. \u2063All were conditioned to comply in lockstep\u2064 without questioning the abrupt change. (One can sense echoes of <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2018\/11\/16\/40th-anniversary-jonestown-massacre-perfect-time-brush-cults-operate\/\">Jonestown<\/a>, where the cult recruits obeyed \u2063their leader even to the \u2062point of drinking\u200c the poisoned Kool-Aid on command.)<\/p>\n<p>The conditioner calls\u2062 the shots, and the masses conform. \u200dThat\u2019s where most college students are today.\u200b They enter a university striving to \u2063get credentialed but are threatened at every \u200cturn with ridicule or expulsion if they don\u2019t agree to the assigned narrative.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll find aversion to speaking openly wherever people \u200bare invested\u2062 in their\u2062 careers, reputations, \u2063and status. We\u2062 see \u2064it with academics, \u200cCEOs, politicos, and particularly with the Hollywood\u2064 celebrity \u200cor \u200dmedia anchor invested in\u2063 preserving her \u200cpublic persona.<\/p>\n<p>What do they all have \u2062in common? A terror of being canceled, \u200bsocially rejected, and despised by others,\u2063 particularly by their reference group. Consider also the\u200c affluent suburban woman, scared to death of losing status among her peers. I <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/06\/15\/how-socialists-like-black-lives-matter-weaponize-our-fears-of-loneliness\/\">made the following comparison<\/a> during the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>The\u00a0psychological mechanism\u00a0that drives the woke white woman of 2020 into Black\u200b Lives Matter obedience is the same mechanism that would have driven her into the National Socialist \u200dWomen\u2019s League of Nazi Germany in 1941. It might sound \u2063weird, but both\u200b appeal to the same forces: craving \u200cfor status, the need for belonging, obedience\u2062 to \u2063overwhelming propaganda, hatred of a common perceived\u2064 enemy, terror of being lumped in with \u2063the \u2018unfit,\u2019 fear of\u200c shunning\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Hence, the\u2064 more \u200bconditioned we are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Weaponization-Loneliness-Tyrants-Isolation-Silence\/dp\/1637582021\/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2EE8GVKQOWGFY&#038;keywords=the+weaponization+of+loneliness+stella+morabito&#038;qid=1697501951&#038;sprefix=%2Caps%2C455&#038;sr=8-1\">to this weaponization of loneliness<\/a>, the more easily we will accept rule by \u2064terror. The same students who might have scratched their heads decades ago \u200casking how the German people could have possibly allowed the Holocaust to happen are now answering that question with their own Exhibit \u200bA.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<\/div>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> \u2064 How\u2062 can universities address the \u2064normalization of violence and support \u200cfor terrorist organizations among students on campus?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  The Jewish people. The university must\u200d take immediate action \u200cto address this dangerous rhetoric and ensure the safety\u2063 of \u200ball students on campus.<\/p>\n<p>It is horrifying to see the normalization\u2063 of violence and support for terrorist organizations on college campuses. These are supposed \u2062to be institutions of\u200c higher learning, where students are encouraged to engage \u200din critical thinking and pursue knowledge. Instead, we are witnessing \u2063a concerning trend of\u2064 students aligning themselves with extremist ideologies and promoting violence as a means\u200d to achieve their goals.<\/p>\n<p>This rise in support for terrorism is not\u2062 limited to \u2064a few isolated incidents. It is becoming increasingly widespread, with student organizations at\u2062 prestigious universities \u2064openly expressing \u200csolidarity with Hamas, a recognized \u2062terrorist group responsible for countless attacks against innocent civilians.\u200b This is not a matter of freedom of speech or \u2064<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/caitlyn-jenner-discusses-family-conversations-about-gubernatorial-campaign\/\" title=\"Caitlyn Jenner Discusses Family Conversations About Gubernatorial Campaign\">differing political opinions<\/a>. This is \u200da dangerous \u200bembrace of violence and hatred.<\/p>\n<p>So, how did we get\u2063 here? How did college campuses become\u200d breeding grounds\u2064 for extremist ideologies? The answer\u200c lies in the indoctrination and conditioning of\u200d students by radical professors and \u200badministrators. \u2064These individuals have hijacked\u2064 the education system \u200cand are using\u200c it \u2062as a \u200cplatform to spread their dangerous ideologies.<\/p>\n<p>Rather \u2064than \u200cpromoting open dialogue and the exchange of ideas, these educators are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-suspect-is-in-custody-missing-girl-rescued-from-imminent-danger\/\" title=\"Missing girl rescued, suspect in custody.\">suppressing dissenting opinions<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/damning-details-of-democrat-senators-corruption-case-released-remember-what-he-said-about-trump\/\" title=\"Explosive revelations on Democratic Senator's corruption case emerge... Recall his comments on Trump?\">stifling intellectual diversity<\/a>.\u2064 They\u2062 are \u200dpushing a one-sided narrative that promotes victimhood, encourages violence, and demonizes \u200canyone who dares\u200c to question their beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>This conditioning\u2062 process begins early on, with students being taught\u2063 to reject traditional values and embrace radical ideologies. They are taught that violence is a \u200blegitimate tool for achieving \u200bpolitical goals and\u200c that those who oppose \u200btheir views are enemies\u2062 to be silenced and destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>University\u2062 administrators must take responsibility for allowing this toxic environment to flourish. They have turned\u2064 a \u2064blind eye \u200dto the radicalization \u200cof their campuses and have failed to provide a safe and inclusive learning \u200denvironment for all students.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2064 is time for a drastic change. Universities must prioritize the education and well-being of their students over promoting extremist \u200cideologies. They must actively promote intellectual\u2064 diversity, encourage open and respectful dialogue, and \u2062ensure the safety \u200dof all \u2063students.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, students themselves must take a stand \u200bagainst this rise of \u200brule by terror. \u2062They\u200d must\u200b reject\u200b the indoctrination\u200c and conditioning they have been subjected to and reclaim \u200btheir voices\u200d and their education.
