Tim\u2064 Scott. \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/08\/24\/vivek-ramaswamy-gop-debate-00112752\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Then<\/a>, it was businessman and conservative activist Vivek Ramaswamy. Even Chris Christie \u200dwas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/09\/04\/new-hampshire-democrats-chris-christie-00111379\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in\u200b there<\/a> \u2063somewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Former U.N. ambassador and South Carolina\u200c Gov. \u200bNikki \u2064Haley\u200b was Politico\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/politico-nightly\/2023\/10\/16\/nikki-haley-rising-00121841?nname=politico-nightly&#038;nid=00000170-c000-da87-af78-e185fa700000&#038;nrid=0000016c-9580-de81-a7fc-9fbb607f0000&#038;nlid=2670445\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">latest pick<\/a>. Now, Mike Pence \u200dCan\u2019t Get a Crowd of 15\u200d to a Pizza Ranch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Politico is saying\u200d that about a \u2063potential\u2063 GOP \u201cTrump\u2063 alternative,\u201d his\u200b chances at the nomination are\u2063 \u2014 to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveabout.com\/funny-dan-ratherisms-4067687\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">paraphrase<\/a> the not-so-late, not-so-great <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/leftist-group-attacks-bad-journalism-using-dan-rather\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dan Rather<\/a> \u2014 between slim and none, and slim just left town.<\/p>\n<p>The piece is as sad as it sounds. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mike-pences-2024-window-rapidly-closing-newest-disclosure-reports-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pence<\/a>, as it\u2063 turns out,\u2062 is pinning all of his \u2062hopes on a surprise win \u2062in the Iowa caucuses, \u200cin a state that sounds somewhat surprised\u200d he\u2019s \u200bstill running for the\u2063 GOP nomination. How surprised?
