In addition, he has accumulated $620,000 in outstanding debt.<\/p>\n<p>Comparatively, former President Donald Trump has a substantial $37.5 million on hand, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis boasts an impressive $12.3 million, according \u2064to the AP.<\/p>\n<p>These financial struggles have forced Pence to make difficult\u200b decisions, including letting go of\u200b campaign staff, as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2023\/10\/19\/pence-predsidential-campaign-struggles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Pence&#8217;s campaign is facing another significant hurdle &#8211; a lack of excitement from voters. Campaign events have been poorly attended, with one speech in Iowa drawing a crowd\u200d of only 13 people, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2023\/10\/21\/mike-pence-sad-presidential-campaign-00122589\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These \u200bstruggles are\u2064 reflected in the polling numbers, with Pence receiving minimal support in early primary states like Iowa and New Hampshire. His lack of support, coupled with the commanding lead held\u200c by\u200b former President Trump, leaves little room for Pence to\u200b make a substantial impact on the race.<\/p>\n<p>One of the key\u2064 reasons for Pence&#8217;s struggles is his campaign strategy. \u200cBy distancing himself from his former boss and attempting to carve \u2064out his own niche \u2064in the Republican \u200dParty, Pence has failed to connect with\u200c voters. His attempt to \u200bembrace \u200cthe conservatism of the George W.
