Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) ousted Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) in a stunning move. This unprecedented \u2064shake-up has \u200dled to what Rep. McHenry has expressed \u200doptimism that the House could elect a new speaker by the end of next week.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Jordan has \u2064pledged his\u2062 support for the party&#8217;s next speaker nominee.<\/p>\n<p>Among the members who\u200d have already thrown their hats in the ring are Reps. As the leader of the Republican Study Committee, a prominent conservative caucus with approximately 170 members, he believes he is the right candidate to lead with\u2062 a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-administration-puts-uranium-between-hard-rock-and-no-place-on-critical-mineral-list\/\" title=\"Biden admin classifies uranium as a 'critical mineral'\">proven track \u200brecord<\/a> of\u200b success.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Rep. Emmer, the\u200b third-ranking House Republican as the majority whip, is\u200b actively seeking support from\u200d his colleagues for \u2063his bid\u200b for speaker. He \u200dhas received an endorsement from the ousted speaker, Rep. McCarthy, who believes that Rep. He has \u200dacted as a bridge \u200cbetween moderates and \u200dconservatives in the GOP conference and has garnered support from some holdouts during Rep.
