President \u2063Joe Biden is\u2064 holding our own border security hostage in \u2064order to funnel more tax dollars to Ukraine. This week, the White\u2064 House\u200b pitched a combined \u200d0 billion emergency \u201csecurity\u201d funding\u200c package<\/a>\u2064 to Congress primarily aimed at\u2062 confronting Russia, with less \u2062than 15\u200c percent of the measure\u2019s proposed spending set aside for our\u2063 southern border. <\/p>\n

In a prime-time address<\/a> from the Oval Office Thursday night, Biden presented the package as\u2062 \u201can urgent budget request<\/a> to fund America\u2019s national security needs\u201d \u200cand \u201cto support our critical partners<\/a>, including Israel and Ukraine.\u201d <\/p>\n

More than $61 billion<\/a> \u200boutlined\u200c in the proposal, however, is\u200b directed towards Ukraine. Less than $15 billion goes to security for the southern border,\u2063 which Biden\u2019s proposal makes dependent on lawmakers\u2019\u200d willingness to ramp up\u2062 Ukraine\u2062 funding by about 50\u2064 percent. The Biden administration already committed $113 billion in\u2064 Ukraine aid last\u2062 year, according <\/a>to the Committee for \u2063a Responsible Federal Budget. <\/p>\n
