This\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/another-post-holiday-fuel-cost-spike-shows-bidens-price-hikes-just-wont-quit\/\" title=\"Another Post-Holiday Fuel Cost Spike Shows Biden\u2019s Price Hikes Just Won\u2019t Quit\">high-end electric vehicle<\/a>,\u2062 which was \u2062named the 2022\u2062 Car of the Year, was being\u200d put through its paces as part\u200d of a yearlong test by the magazine&#8217;s editors.<\/p>\n<p>The incident, which occurred \u2064months ago but was \u200brecently detailed by writer Erick Ayapana, turned what was \u200dsupposed to be \u200ba routine test into an hours-long\u2063 ordeal. As \u2063the car accelerated, the driver heard a startling noise and suddenly lost\u2063 power. The instrument cluster lit up with warning lights and error \u2062messages, leaving the team\u200d stranded on the track.<\/p>\n<p>After \u2062being towed to a nearby lot, the car seemed to fix itself, but one warning\u200c light remained. Following \u200bthe recommendation of a Lucid Motors representative, the car \u2064was towed again,\u2063 this time to a service center in\u2063 Los Angeles. It took nine days for the car to be \u2063returned, and the cause of\u2064 the failure\u200c has yet to be diagnosed.<\/p>\n<p>According to associate editor Justin Banner, \u200dthe issue \u2062may \u200cbe similar to a problem Ford experienced with its Mustang Mach-E \u2064electric cars, which resulted in a recall of nearly 50,000\u2063 vehicles.
