Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Well, so\u200b much for the \u201cKraken.\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>Sidney Powell, best\u2062 known for \u2063briefly representing former President Donald Trump\u200b in his legal contests over the 2020 general\u200d election,\u200c has \u200cstruck a plea deal that could spell\u200b bad news for\u2063 her most famous \u200cformer client.<\/p>\n<p>She, along with \u2064Trump, is one of 18 co-defendants facing\u2062 a number of charges related to the former president\u2019s challenge \u2063of Georgia\u2019s election results.<\/p>\n<p>While Trump faces a \u200dnumber of legal challenges presently, \u2064the RICO case brought forward by the Fulton County DA\u2064 presents perhaps the \u200bbiggest issue of \u2063them \u2063all.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s already \u200bproduced one \u2063trip to Fulton County Jail in Atlanta \u200cfor the \u2063former president \u2014 and a historic mugshot, as well.<\/p>\n<p>And now Powell may be the next \u200cmajor domino to fall.<\/p>\n<p>The embattled lawyer,\u2062 who became something of a \u2064meme while representing Trump for vowing to release\u200c the \u201cKraken\u201d (her phrase for a ballyhooed\u2062 smoking gun that \u2062never materialized), is pleading guilty to six misdemeanor charges,\u200d per the \u200bcourt agreement cited by ABC News.<\/p>\n<p>According to Business \u200cInsider,\u200c Powell will have to pay $6,000 in addition to \u201c$2,700\u200d in restitution \u2063to replace election equipment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Powell also faces a maximum prison sentence of six years probation (each\u200c charge carries up to 12 months probation).<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, \u2064Powell must\u2064 also testify in future\u2062 trials.<\/p>\n<p>Most bizarrely of all, Powell\u200b must also\u2062 write an apology\u2063 letter to Georgians, according to ABC.<\/p>\n<p>But while \u2062Powell will face those headaches on her own, she herself \u200bcould soon become a massive headache for \u200dTrump.<\/p>\n<p>Powell, who was \u200bset to\u200b go on trial Monday before \u2064striking this plea deal, is \u2062being described as already having \u201cflipped\u201d (Business Insider\u2019s own \u2062verbiage) on\u200b Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Fulton County Judge \u2064Scott McAfee told ABC News that \u2063Powell will have\u2064 to \u201ctestify\u2064 truthfully \u200dabout any \u200cco-defendants\u201d involved in the\u200c case and \u201cprovide all documents to the district \u2063attorney\u2019s office.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many view \u2062that as potentially damning for \u2064Trump \u2014 but interestingly, Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hearing-underway-on-potentially-unsealing-fbis-mar-a-lago-raid-records\/\" title=\"Hearing Underway on Potentially Unsealing FBI's Mar-a-Lago Raid Records\">current legal team<\/a> does not.<\/p>\n<p>Steve\u200c Sadow, who is representing Trump \u2063in the Georgia case, told ABC\u200d News \u200bvia statement, \u201cAssuming\u2064 truthful testimony in the Fulton County case, it will be favorable to my overall defense strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sadow\u2019s use \u2063of the term \u201cassuming\u201d posits \u2063that Powell\u200d may not be entirely truthful in this \u2064plea deal, which would certainly be\u200c bad news for\u2063 Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, ABC News also\u2062 noted that \u200cKenneth\u2062 Chesebro, another co-defendant originally \u200bset to go on trial \u200dalongside Powell on Monday, was offered a similar\u2062 plea deal.<\/p>\n<p>Chesebro \u2064rejected the \u200bdeal.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<blockquote class=\"author_subscription_pitch\">\n<h3>A Note from Our Founder:<\/h3>\n<p>Silicon Valley and the Big Tech tyrants have\u2064 done everything they can \u2062to put The Western Journal out of business.
