However, this figure represents a significant drop-off \u200ccompared to the percentage of women who received\u2062 at least\u200b one initial COVID-19 vaccine \u200ddose\u200c (about 65 percent) and completed the primary vaccination series (58.7 percent).<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode post-related-videos\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Medical professionals are expressing concern over these low\u2064 vaccination rates. She explained, &#8220;That has carried over to questioning \u200dof other vaccines that we&#8217;ve used for much \u200dlonger periods of time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"lazyload-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Another doctor, Linda\u200b Eckert from the University of Washington, highlighted the increasing bias \u2063some patients have towards vaccines. \u2063She shared \u2062that when she brings up the topic of\u200d vaccines with pregnant\u2064 women, they respond with, &#8220;I&#8217;m\u200c not\u200b going to talk about it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>The reasons behind pregnant\u200b women&#8217;s hesitancy \u2062towards vaccines were\u200c not explicitly mentioned \u2064by the doctors or the CDC. However,\u200b one\u200d official interviewed\u200c by NBC blamed it on\u200c &#8220;blatant disinformation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Other Data<\/h2>\n<p>Last month, the U.S. Food and Drug\u200b Administration (FDA) approved the latest bivalent shots \u2062from Novavax, Moderna, and Pfizer before \u2063they were recommended by the CDC. However, recent data from the federal agency shows that \u200donly about 2 percent, \u2062or 7 million, Americans have received these updated shots.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A spokesperson \u200bfor the Department of \u200dHealth and Human \u2064Services (HHS) explained that the distribution of COVID-19 \u200bvaccines has shifted to the private market, resulting in a different distribution process compared to \u200cthe previous year when the government \u2062handled \u200ddistribution.
