And they\u2019re dropping bombs in Syria right now and those bombs are kind of expensive for a dude who owes me $2,000, you know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>WATCH:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;They&#8217;re dropping bombs in Syria right now\u2014and those bombs are kinda expensive for a dude who owes me $2,000.&#8221; \ud83d\ude2d\ud83d\ude2d\ud83d\ude2d\ud83d\ude2d\ud83d\ude2d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OAyjhjT3NT\">pic.twitter.com\/OAyjhjT3NT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Hawk (@Hawk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Hawk\/status\/1368936413543075841?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 8, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Calvert\u2019s remarks come in response to comments that Biden made while campaigning in Georgia at the start of the year for two Democrat Senate candidates, both of whom won their races.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy electing Jon and the Reverend, you can make an immediate difference in your own lives, the lives of the people all across this country,\u201d Biden said. \u201cBecause their election will put an end to the block in Washington, that $2000 stimulus check, that money would go out the door immediately, to help people who are in real trouble. Think about what it will mean to your lives, putting food on the table, paying rent, paying part of your mortgage, paying down the credit card, paying the phone bill, the gas bill, the electric bill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration and Democrat lawmakers have angered many voters after it was reported that they narrowed the eligibility window of who could qualify to receive the stimulus checks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery American who filed individually and makes up to $75,000 will still get the full amount before it begins to reduce at incomes above that,\u201d NBC News&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/congress\/biden-senate-democrats-agree-limit-eligibility-1-400-checks-n1259463\">reported<\/a> last week. \u201cBut rather than zeroing out at $100,000 earnings, as the House\u2019s Covid-19 relief bill does, the Senate bill will cut off payments at $80,000.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor couples filing jointly, incomes up to $150,000 will still get the full amount,\u201d the report added. \u201cBut rather than zeroing out at $200,000, the Senate bill will cut off payments at $160,000 in earnings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Democrats\u2019 massive stimulus bill has been criticized by many who believe that it is way too much considering that the economy is already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/february-jobs-report-unemployment-rate-2021-11614909553\">trending<\/a> in the right direction, the stock market is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/03\/07\/stock-market-open-to-close-news.html\">trending<\/a> back up, and new coronavirus cases and deaths have been <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/Vd3Tw\">falling<\/a> since before Biden even took office.<\/p>\n<p>Forbes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/adamandrzejewski\/2021\/02\/22\/is-there-waste-or-bloated-spending-in-the-19-trillion-coronavirus-stimulus-bill\/?sh=583d654f39db\">highlighted<\/a> the following items that are included in the Democrats\u2019 $1.9 trillion stimulus bill that many have called out for either being wasteful spending or what they say amounts to a bailout for areas that have been poorly run by Democrats:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>$1.5 million earmarked for the Seaway International Bridge, which connects New York to Canada. Senate Leader Chuck Schumer hails from New York.<\/li>\n<li>$50 million for \u201cfamily planning\u201d \u2013 going to non-profits, i.e. Planned Parenthood, or public entities, including for \u201cservices for adolescents[.]\u201d<\/li>\n<li>$852 million for AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps Vista, and the National Senior Service Corps \u2013 the Corporation for National and Community Service \u2013 civic volunteer agencies. This includes $9 million for the AmeriCorp inspector general to conduct oversight and audits of the largess. AmeriCorps&nbsp;<a class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/americorps.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/CNCS%20FY%202021%20Congressional%20Budget%20Justification%20w%20IG%20Message%20%28Final%29_508.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/americorps.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/CNCS%20FY%202021%20Congressional%20Budget%20Justification%20w%20IG%20Message%20%28Final%29_508.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/americorps.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/CNCS%20FY%202021%20Congressional%20Budget%20Justification%20w%20IG%20Message%20%28Final%29_508.pdf\" aria-label=\"received\">received<\/a>&nbsp;a $1.1 billion FY2020 appropriation.<\/li>\n<li>$200 million in the bill to The Institute of Museum and Library Services (FY2019 budget: $230 million). This agency is so small that it doesn\u2019t even employ an inspector general.<\/li>\n<li>$270 million funds the National Endowment of the Arts and the Humanities (FY2019 budget: $253 million) \u2013 In 2017, our study&nbsp;<a class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.openthebooks.com\/national-foundation-on-the-arts-and-humanities--open-the-books-oversight-report\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.openthebooks.com\/national-foundation-on-the-arts-and-humanities--open-the-books-oversight-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.openthebooks.com\/national-foundation-on-the-arts-and-humanities--open-the-books-oversight-report\/\" aria-label=\"showed\">showed<\/a>&nbsp;eighty-percent of all non-profit grant making flowed to well-heeled organizations with over $1 million in assets.<\/li>\n<li>$350 billion to bailout the 50 States and the District of Columbia. The allocation formula uses the unemployment rate in the fourth quarter of 2020. Therefore, states like New York and California \u2013who had strict economic lockdown policies&nbsp;<a class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/web\/laus\/laumstrk.htm\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/web\/laus\/laumstrk.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/web\/laus\/laumstrk.htm\" aria-label=\"and high unemployment\">and high unemployment<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 will get bailout money. States like Florida and South Dakota \u2013 who were open for business \u2013 will get less.<\/li>\n<li>$128.5 billion to fund K-12 education. The CBO determined that most of the money in education will be distributed in 2022 through 2028, when the pandemic is over.<\/li>\n<li>$86 billion to save nearly 200 pension plans insured by the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. There are no reforms mandated while these badly managed pensions are bailed-out. Many of these pension plans&nbsp;<a class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-non-covid-spending-blowout-11613937485?mod=searchresults_pos4&amp;page=1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-non-covid-spending-blowout-11613937485?mod=searchresults_pos4&amp;page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-non-covid-spending-blowout-11613937485?mod=searchresults_pos4&amp;page=1\" aria-label=\"are co-managed\">are co-managed<\/a>&nbsp;by unions.<\/li>\n<li>$50 billion goes to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). A portion of these funds is earmarked to reimburse up to $7,000 for funeral and burial&nbsp;<a class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/personal-finance\/7000-reimbursement-for-covid-19-funerals-who-its-for-how-to-apply-and-other-details\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/personal-finance\/7000-reimbursement-for-covid-19-funerals-who-its-for-how-to-apply-and-other-details\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/personal-finance\/7000-reimbursement-for-covid-19-funerals-who-its-for-how-to-apply-and-other-details\/\" aria-label=\"costs related\">costs related<\/a>&nbsp;to Covid-19 deaths.<\/li>\n<li>$39.6 billion to higher education.
