Bronny James, son of NBA\u200b star\u2063 LeBron James, is \u2064currently\u200d the highest-earning\u200c NIL athlete, with a worth\u200c of $5.9 million. These developments highlight the changing landscape of college sports.<\/p>\n<p>The witnesses at the hearing,\u2062 including former Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and NCAA President Charlie Baker, expressed\u2064 differing views on the future of college sports \u2063and the appropriate compensation for \u2062student-athletes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>This includes debates on whether student-athletes should be treated \u2063as employees of their respective colleges\u2064 or universities. \u200dSuch a designation would have significant implications for\u200b athletic programs, particularly smaller ones that\u2064 may struggle to\u2064 allocate\u200d their budgets towards paying student-athletes.
