It has imposed a total blockade on the enclave, halting food, fuel, and medical supplies, which are rapidly\u200b running out.<\/p>\n<p>Scores of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-to-visit-israel\/\" title=\"Biden's Israel Visit\">trucks carrying vital supplies<\/a> for <strong>Gaza<\/strong> \u2063headed toward the Rafah crossing in Egypt on Tuesday, the only access point to the coastal enclave outside <strong>Israel<\/strong>&#8216;s\u2062 control, but there was no clear\u2062 indication that they would be able to enter.<\/p>\n<h3>Biden&#8217;s Planned Visit and Support<\/h3>\n<p>U.S.\u2064 Secretary of State Antony Blinken \u2063announced <strong>Biden<\/strong>&#8216;s planned visit at the \u2063end of\u2062 hours of talks with Netanyahu, in which he said Netanyahu had agreed to\u200d develop a plan to get <strong>humanitarian<\/strong> aid \u200dto <strong>Gaza<\/strong> civilians. \u2063He gave no details.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biden<\/strong> \u200cwill &#8220;hear from \u200b <strong>Israel<\/strong> what it needs\u2062 to defend its people,&#8221; \u2064Blinken said. He will also hear how <strong>Israel<\/strong> will carry out operations in a way that minimizes\u2062 civilian casualties and lets <strong>humanitarian<\/strong> aid into \u200d <strong>Gaza<\/strong> to help civilians &#8220;in a \u2063way that does not benefit\u2062 Hamas.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Washington is also trying to rally Arab states to \u200dhelp head off a wider regional war after Iran pledged &#8220;preemptive action&#8221; from its allies which include the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p>After <strong>Israel<\/strong>, <strong>Biden<\/strong> is expected \u2062to\u2064 travel to Jordan to meet King Abdullah and Egyptian \u2062president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.<\/p>\n<p>He will also meet Mahmoud Abbas,\u2064 president of the Palestinian Authority, which\u2063 exerts limited self-rule in the <strong>Israeli<\/strong>-occupied West Bank\u2063 but lost control of <strong>Gaza<\/strong> to Hamas in \u20632007. The PA on\u2063 Tuesday accused <strong>Israel<\/strong> of genocide and ethnic\u2062 cleansing in <strong>Gaza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lifting Rubble with Bare Hands<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Jabalia, in the northern half of the <strong>Gaza<\/strong> Strip that <strong>Israel<\/strong> has ordered evacuated, frantic residents used their bare hands to lift chunks of concrete and metal, crying \u200dout when they located bodies from under rubble in a smoking bombing crater. Others ran with stretchers carrying the wounded.<\/p>\n<p>A man emerged from a ruined building holding the limp body of a \u2063small boy in his arms.<\/p>\n<p>Residents fleeing the north have crammed into southern\u200b areas such \u2062as \u2063Khan Younis but have found no respite \u200dfrom bombing there.<\/p>\n<p>Amin Hneideq awoke to an \u200dexplosion in Khan Younis that sent the window crashing down,\u2063 lacerating \u2062his daughter&#8217;s head. The\u2062 bomb\u200b had\u2062 missed his house but destroyed a home nearby, killing a family from the north that had \u200bsought \u2064shelter there.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They\u2063 brought them \u2063from the \u200cnorth just to strike them in the south,&#8221; said\u2063 Hneideq, \u2064weeping.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b United Nations agency\u2064 for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, said only around 14 percent of <strong>Gazans<\/strong> had access to water through a single \u2064pipe to Khan Younis \u200cthat <strong>Israel<\/strong> allowed to open for \u200bthree hours on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Concerns \u2064about dehydration and diseases \u2064were high as water and\u2063 sanitation services had collapsed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;People \u2063will start dying without water,&#8221;\u200c UNRWA said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hostages and Attempts for Aid<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Israel<\/strong> says 199 hostages were taken to <strong>Gaza<\/strong> during the militants&#8217; raid.\u200b Hamas\u2064 released a video of one French-<strong>Israeli<\/strong> hostage, Maya Schem,\u200b calling on\u200b world leaders to help \u200bher and other captives get home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Israel<\/strong>&#8216;s \u200bmilitary \u2063called the video &#8220;psychological terror against <strong>Israeli<\/strong> citizens&#8221;,\u2062 and France called it \u200c&#8221;vile.&#8221; Schem&#8217;s\u2064 mother told a press conference she \u2062was &#8220;begging\u200c the world\u200c to bring my baby back home.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to trying to get aid through the Rafah \u2063crossing, Washington\u200d also wants it opened to let out <strong>Gazans<\/strong> \u2062with foreign passports,\u200b including several hundred Palestinian Americans. Some <strong>Gazans<\/strong> with dual nationality \u2062tried to \u2062reach\u200b Rafah on Tuesday but said \u2062it was impossible because \u200dof <strong>Israeli<\/strong> air strikes.<\/p>\n<p>Even if the crossing\u2063 opens, most <strong>Gazans<\/strong> will not\u200c be let out. \u200bEgypt has said it could allow medical evacuations but rejects any mass exodus, which it says\u200b would amount to an \u200dexpulsion of \u2062Palestinians from their land.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clashes in\u200d Israel&#8217;s North<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cross-border fighting has also intensified on a second\u2063 front on\u200c <strong>Israel<\/strong>&#8216;s\u2063 northern border with\u2063 Lebanon. \u2062Clashes \u200cthere have been the deadliest since \u200bthe last full-blown war between <strong>Israel<\/strong> and Lebanon&#8217;s Hezbollah group \u200c17 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Israeli<\/strong> military said on Tuesday it had killed four people who had tried\u200b to cross the border to plant \u2064explosives. Security sources in Lebanon said four people had been killed\u200b by <strong>Israeli<\/strong> shelling near the village of Alma \u2063Al-Shaab on the Lebanese side of the frontier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Israel<\/strong> ordered the evacuation on Monday of 28 of\u200c its villages near the Lebanese border.<\/p>\n<p>Iran, which sponsors both Hamas and Hezbollah, has \u200ccelebrated the Hamas attacks on <strong>Israel<\/strong> but denies being behind \u200dthem. The\u200b Israeli military has \u2062described it as\u2063 &#8220;psychological \u200bterror&#8221; and France has condemned it as &#8220;vile&#8221;.\u2063 Schem&#8217;s mother has \u200bpleaded for the world\u200d to help bring \u2062her daughter back home.<\/p>\n<p>The situation in Gaza is dire, \u2064with limited access \u200dto water and basic necessities, and\u200d the risk of\u200c dehydration and disease is increasing. The\u2064 United Nations \u2063agency\u200c for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, has stated that only around 14 percent of Gazans currently have access to water through a single pipe that Israel allowed to open for a few hours on Monday. Without access to clean \u2063water, the \u2062risk to the\u2062 lives of the people in Gaza is imminent.<\/p>\n<p>President Biden&#8217;s visit\u200c to Israel \u2063is a\u200d show of support for the country&#8217;s efforts to defend its people and destroy the Hamas movement.
