Radically divided. So divided, \u2063in fact, that every Thanksgiving there \u200care countless articles giving us\u2064 advice about \u2063how <em>not<\/em> to hit your hidebound, conservative uncle or purple-haired, they\/them-pronouns-in-profile nephew\u2064 over the head with an overcooked turkey leg.<\/h2>\n<p>Well, rejoice, denizens of the United States. \u2064As we approach the \u2062holiday season, a new\u200b ABC\/Ipsos poll finds that Americans are reaching concord\u200d on another major political matter: Joe Biden stinks at this whole president thing.<\/p>\n<p>In\u2063 a survey conducted Friday and Saturday among 518 adults, Biden plumbed\u200d new \u200dlows in approval in every category the organization polls on and didn\u2019t fare so well, either, on two new and rather pressing categories included in this survey: the war between \u2063Israel and \u200dHamas, and\u200d foreign policy toward Iran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbout two in five approve of President Biden\u2019s handling of the war between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-vladimir-putin-compares-israels-war-hamas-nazi-campaign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel and Hamas<\/a>, matching his approval rating\u200c on the situation with \u200cRussia and Ukraine,\u201d Ipsos said in a\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipsos.com\/en-us\/americans-split-us-responsibility-ensure-peace-middle-east\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough \u2063a majority disapprove of Biden\u2019s handling of each conflict, his approval rating in these areas is higher than his handling of crime, inflation, immigration, and other key issues in the \u200dUnited States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You can say\u2063 that again. And again. And again.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, let\u2019s\u200d start with the economy. In this survey, 36 percent approved and 61 percent disapproved of how Biden is handling things. Compare this\u200d with 38 percent who approved\u200b in a January survey, or a high of 60 \u200cpercent who approved in \u2063a March 2021 edition of \u200cthe poll.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democrats-lose-biden-flip-flops-dc-crime-bill-fing-amateur-hour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">On crime<\/a>: Thirty-three percent approved \u2064of how Biden is\u200c handling it and 64 percent disapproved, compared with 40 percent approval and 58 percent disapproval in January. It\u2019s worth noting that Biden\u2019s numbers were never particularly\u200c high in this category, hitting a high\u200b of 46 percent approval \u200bin August 2021.<\/p>\n<p>On climate change: Thirty-nine percent approval\u2064 versus 57 percent disapproval in this poll, 48 percent\u2062 approval and 50 percent disapproval in January.<\/p>\n<p>On inflation, which we\u2019re constantly told is getting better: Twenty-nine percent approval versus 69 percent disapproval. That was at\u2064 31 percent\u200d approval and 67\u200c percent disapproval \u2062in January. However, to be\u2063 absolutely fair to \u200bthe president, this is the only category in which Biden didn\u2019t hit or match an all-time low in the ABC\/Ipsos poll. (In December\u200b 2021, he \u200donly had 28 percent approval \u200cversus 69 percent disapproval on the matter.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gov-abbott-fortifies-texas-new-mexico-border-lone-star-troops-put-razor-wire-near-state-line\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Immigration and border \u200dsecurity<\/a>: Twenty-six percent approval versus \u206270 \u200dpercent disapproval; that\u2019s a 5 percentage-point movement downward in approval since January. He lopped another 5 percentage points off the approval\u200b of his handling of the\u2062 Ukraine-Russia \u200dwar, with 41 percent approval\u200b now compared\u2062 with 46 percent approval\u2063 in January.<\/p>\n<p>And\u200b then\u200c there was the war between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/squad-puts-forward-resolution-calling-israel-cease-response-hamas-terror-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel and Hamas<\/a>,\u200d which was roughly a week old when this survey \u2062was taken. Those polled already had \u2063seen enough that only \u206241 percent approved of Biden\u2019s handling of the situation versus 54 percent\u2062 disapproval.<\/p>\n<p>In\u200c terms of foreign policy toward Iran \u2014 a nation strongly suspected of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bombshell-report-biden-now-two-degrees-separation-slaughter-israelis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">helping plan and green-light\u2062 Hamas\u2019 attacks<\/a> against Israel \u2014 only \u200c33 percent approved compared with 62 percent who disapproved.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Americans \u200cdo not give Biden high marks on anything, according \u200bto a new ABC \u2064News\/Ipsos poll:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>26% approval on immigration\/border security (net -44)<\/li>\n<li>29% approval on inflation (-40)<\/li>\n<li>32% approval on gun violence (-33)<\/li>\n<li>33% approval on \u200ccrime (-31)<\/li>\n<li>33% approval on Iran\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2014 RNC Research (@RNCResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1714101304149041268?\">October\u2062 17, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The margin \u2064of sampling error for the survey was plus or minus 4.5 percentage points at the 95 percent\u200b confidence \u2064level.<\/p>\n<p>The poll more or less tracks with Biden\u2019s trends in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/president-biden-job-approval-7320.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RealClearPolitics<\/a> polling aggregate, which had him at a 40.5\u200d overall approval rating and \u200ba 54.8\u200c disapproval rating as of Tuesday morning \u2014 a negative 14.3 percentage-point spread.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, former President Donald \u200cTrump\u2062 \u2014 the leading GOP contender in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-poll-shows-biden-hitting-new-lows-on-almost-every-single-issue-including-support-for-israel-against-hamas\/\" title=\"Biden's Approval Ratings Plummet Across the Board, Including Support for Israel vs. Hamas\">2024 \u200dpresidential\u2063 race \u2014\u00a0 remains contentious<\/a>, and a rematch between the two men would be a close\u200b call. That said, America has more or less spoken on Biden, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidenomics-number-americans-living-poverty-line-skyrocketed-real-wage-decline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bidenomics<\/a>\u201d and virtually\u200c everything else he\u2019s \u201caccomplished\u201d in a \u2062little under three years. Conclusion?
