Two prominent Republicans,⁣ House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers and Rep. Ken Calvert, have recently endorsed ‌Jordan for ⁣the top ⁢spot in the House, despite previously stating that they would not back⁤ him.

Just a few days ago, on October 13, Mike Rogers expressed his ⁤skepticism towards Jordan, saying that there was nothing Jordan ⁢could do to win his vote. Instead, Rogers indicated that he would be voting for Rep.⁤ Kevin McCarthy, the former‍ speaker of the House. ‍However, Rogers has⁣ now changed his mind and announced his support for Jordan in a thread posted on X.

Rogers highlighted the productive⁣ conversations he had with Jordan over the past ⁤two days,⁤ stating that they agreed⁢ on key⁤ issues such as the need for Congress ⁤to pass important legislation like the‍ Farm Bill and appropriations to fund the ⁣government’s ‌vital functions. As⁤ a result of their ‍discussions, ⁤Rogers has made the decision to back Jordan for Speaker of the House on the floor.

This endorsement from Rogers adds to the growing momentum ⁢behind Jordan’s ⁢campaign for the speakership. It demonstrates that Jordan is capable ‍of building coalitions and gathering ‌support from within his party. With prominent Republicans like Rogers and Calvert now rallying behind him, Jordan’s chances of becoming Speaker of the House have significantly improved.

Jim Jordan is known for his conservative stance and vocal support for former President Donald Trump. He has‍ been a ⁢key figure in the Republican Party and has ⁢garnered a strong following among grassroots conservatives. Jordan’s bid for Speaker of ⁣the House is seen by many as a way to bring a more conservative agenda⁤ to the forefront and push back against the Democratic majority in the House.

As the race for the speakership‌ continues, Jordan’s growing support among Republicans will undoubtedly make him a formidable candidate.‌ It remains to be seen whether he can secure enough votes to ultimately ⁣become the ⁤next Speaker of the House, but with ⁢the backing of influential Republicans‍ like Mike Rogers and Ken Calvert, Jordan’s chances are certainly looking ⁣more promising.

Rep.
